I can run through all tests but the K and L line test come back red or NG. all other tests pass and turn green.

My next question to those in the know, is @OVTune or HP Tuners, going to support the 2TR?

Can't speak for OVT, but there's been some talk with HPTuners. Not sure it's on their immediate radar. I know the 2GR is right around the corner though.

I don’t think any tune will be that much different solely from a 2.85 vs 2.7 swap on our trucks. That’s only about 10/15 rwhp. Not much difference cause even the TRD tune can surffice that

So you are meaning to tell me that if we plug in OVTune's numbers that he showed in his most recent post that we will instantly gain better power output as a whole and it may even be able to handle all the different pulley size options out there? I know the computer is capable of compensating up to 30% changes, possibly even more so if we have a proper baseline, it should suffice?

@Murphinator, and that was on a 2.8 pulley?

@OVTune if that tune is on the handheld, I agree, there were a couple guys who saw 20 rwhp gains on the 2.8 and stock 3" pulley, but I found the gains to be diminished when stepping down to 2.7 then 2.5 pulley. 2.7 was slightly too lean for me on your tune until I boost referenced fuel pressure... causing pig rich afrs. At 2.5 and boost referencing an extra 10psi fuel pressure, I'm still super rich at WOT but switched back to TRD tune.

Long story short, OVTune was better for me on 2.8 pulley...TRD tune feels better for me on 2.5 pulley.

That was on a 2.85” urd pulley. Mods at the time were:
    Afe intake
    Jba shorties 2/ stock cats
    Stock ypipe
    3” exhaust
    255lph fuel pump,
    Stock valvebody

That's crazy. Apparently the running the TRD Tune boost referenced with the FPR mod on smaller pulleys is just an absolutely killer combination.

Interesting... I'd like to see if we can net improvements on HPT with the smaller pulleys.

Not doubt it can. OVTUNE already demonstrated how much the TRD tune can be cleaned up on the 2.85 pulley. Imagine having a dialed in tune for the 2.5...or 2.3 in your case?

One thing I'm jealous of the UCON guys is they still have the cam gears!
Interested to see how beneficial they are over stock with this software.

The TRD tune or reflash for old school peeps is the best tune for the higher boosted TRD SCed hands down. And it’s proven! I think the TRD engineers knew this and helped us out! But yes I still say @12TRDTacoma that if you have a tune dialed “no matter the tune” in for the 2.85 and drop to 2.7 there will not be much change in tuning. Unless the injectors are a factor!
