Did this today, the ecgs bushing was a fight at first.. I took Drew's advice and it worked like a charm. Thanks dude. Put it in the freezer for 3hrs and sent it home with a race driver. Going to to do the rear tomorrow.

Just put an order down on some battery powered lawn equipment, should get in sometime next week. A blower and trimmer and a couple batteries. I have been on the fence for a few years about this and wasn't sure the technology was ready, a couple of things pushed me into going for it.

    1) This is probably the biggest reason I've been intrigued, noise. Running a wedding venue, sometimes our neighbor get annoyed. I weed eat and blow probably 1-2 hours a week, and it's going to get even worse when I move next month and start doing my yard, the woods and anything else I see. Removing 2-4 hours a week of a two stroke ripping through the valley, hopefully will buy me some brownie points and appreciation from the neighbors, giving them more patience for Saturday nights. My dad got an electric saw the other month for light work on trails and it is so quiet I couldn't even find him in the woods when he was cutting, that sold me on this.

    2) The blower is close to 500 cfm (494 and 168mph) and the gas one I have isn't really any higher, so power should be there. The trimmer is rated commercial and has the same head and set up from the battery down as my current one. Should do what I need.

    3) My brother wanted all my stuff for his landscaping business. So I'm trading my blower, trimmer and a brush cutter I have to him for some cash and work. I also will still have access to them if I give him a day or two heads up and need them for some reason, so it's really no loss to me, and gets rid of a lot of equipment maintenance.

4)Selling the brush cutter covers cost of investment into electric, and I still get to use it whenever I need it. No brainer to me.

    5) New batteries are water resistant and with two batteries I can run almost two hours, allowing me to do as much as I would do in one sitting. They recharge in about 30 minutes, so after lunch I could go back out and finish any big jobs I was doing. Basically, the runtime isn't holding me back at this point.

TLDR: Selling other stuff covers costs and I want to be quiet so neighbors hate us less.

I am hoping it all works well, from reviews I have read on the heavy duty stihl battery stuff, it should. Excited to test the stuff out.

How come? He said they are coated.. but the instructions said check torque of the BJ bolts for 20ftlbs. Set the snappy to 20ftlbs and snapped the bolt at 18. Wasnt too happy, luckily I had some bolts laying around.

Have you ever thought about doing it yourself? I bought the Fluid Film kit from Kell Sports and with a pair of ramps, it's super easy. I think this year I will apply a coating in the spring and fall to try to prolong my frames life.

    Good morning New Englander's

I have a Stihl weedwacker and the pole hedge trimmer both battery powered. Excellent equipment and the battery charge lasts forever. I can weedwack around my 1/3 acre yard most of the summer on a single charge. Trimmed both sides of 90' X 14' high hemlocks on one battery. A handheld leaf blower is next on the list.

Good to here that you are happy with their stuff, I got the Stihl FSA 90-R for a weed whacker and the BGA 100 for blower. Blower required the hip holder for battery, but in the end just takes the weight off of my arms. The new batteries are supposed to last longer and are water resistant now, so if I get caught in some drizzle or am transporting it and it rains or something I don't have to worry. Depending on how I find them, I might sell my Kombi gas base and get their new battery base. Use it for power brooming in spring and trimming trees the rest of the year, not sure how it would take to the powerbrooming without a full backpack batter ($850). I went through about 6 tanks of gas doing it this year, that would be a lot of batteries.

Got the motorcycle out, cleaned up and started up. She got a new filter and oil also. Haven’t had it out on the road yet, that will be later today hopefully! Always a good year when the bike can come out in April.

In that note, who was the Amsoil dealer around here? If you’re near Boston, can you PM me please? I need to restock for the bike.
