Huge thank you to @Skierrichy .

This weekend was supposed to be getting his truck ready for 35s, but ended with him helping me get my DD running and drywall done to save me from the wrath of HH6

Hey Turin, when you have a moment could you please snap a pic of mounting locations of your rear limit straps. I need to figure out the length of straps, and might need mounting ideas.
Do you think it would make sense to wttach them to U-bolt flip plate?

Here’s where I mounted mine. I used 1/4” sides and 2” square tubing and built a cross bar in between the frame. Welded the upper limit strap mounts to that. For the axle, welded on some double sheer tabs. I recommend TMR customs as their upper mounts are extremely nice and on par price wise with everyone else.

For straps, I recommend trail gear. They’re 6 ply instead of 4 ply like most everyone else. They’re pure beef.

    Thanks.

As far as lower mounts are concerned, welding to an axle seems to be a best idea, right? Or was it dictated bu your custom upper mounts?

Everyone I’ve seen just welds the tabs right to the axle. It’s easy and proven to be an effective mounting point. For the top, that was just my preference. Turin didn’t do a crossbar, and just boxed in a small portion of his frame. Then welded the upper mount to that. So his straps are more vertical, whereas mine are a little angled.
