Has anyone had this happen.? Just noticed this when i rinsed off the truck. Seems as if the plastic is being melted by the license plate bulbs.

Stock. Just drove 6 hours with my lights on. Only thing i could think of being the cause. But that is BS if it is the cause.

Some thought you should know. I had leds in there before but one of them kept flashing and I contacted the seller and they are sending me more. So instead of being pulled over while driving 6 hours through the night, i popped the oems in there and noticed this today. The LEDs should have absolutely nothing to do with it, but just thought i should mention. Also, i know the socket in which the bulb plugs in is not the issue for the flashing bulb, because the oem works fine.

Mine also does the flickering, I’ve changed the bulb multiple times, and halogens work with no flicker. Not sure the cause.

It sounds like your error. You put in cheap LEDs and then swapped back to oem. Didn’t have the issue before so figure out what caused it. Bulbs back in correct or too close to the lense? Moisture get inside?

No moisture, bulbs went in the exact same as when they were first in.

    Led needs a steady power.

It's just like when you see hyper flashing LED signal bulbs.
The led is triggered instantly and goes full bright where a normal incandescent bulb would need to have the element heat up to illuminate fully.

I know the fix for most hyper flash is a resistor put in line.
The flickering could be a cheap led though

Yea the weird part is only one of the tag lights flickers, same brand of LED. Maybe I’ll swap the flickering one to the other spot and see if anything changes.
