Thread is still relevant with plenty of information. Some people have some issues with GFC and that’s fine. As long as people aren’t going for blood and being nasty we really don’t see an issue.

I have my opinions on certain manufactures that I comment on from time to time.

As for the issue with GFC, AeroContinental and overlandwithus. That’s between them and there’s always 3 sides to the story and it’s up to them to hash it out.

If it turns out that there are issues and things are going south then we’ll step in and try to mediate then take it further if necessary.

We still need the problem with “douche bag moderators” addressed.

I have not posted here much, so I understand if my opinion doesn't mean a whole lot, but when a moderator posts a picture of a dumpster fire, I think that they probably don't take their job very seriously. The whole purpose for having moderators is to try and avoid this situation. Sure there are multiple opinions, and there is value in hearing multiple sides of an argument, but the purpose of having moderators is to avoid allowing that discussion to devolve into conjecture and poorly informed statements. Allowing people to comment on a situation of which they have little or no first hand knowledge, which involves litigation, seems a little ridiculous. It effectively permits libel. You guys can do what you want, but I have to say that as an outsider, the mods that I have seen post recently in this thread should either refrain from commenting or actually start taking their jobs seriously.

I completely agree with the assessment. I would just think that as a moderator, whose job it is moderate the discussion, they would work on maintaining an informative thread instead of just inflaming the situation.

Nope, you can find them yourself if you want to. It’s not a big deal either, definitely a first world problem to bitch about what people post on the internet when in reality we’d all get along and have a good time in person.

Actually I am asking you. I know what I have posted in this thread and was asking you to clarify from your perspective as to what constitutes me “shit talking.”

Who are you? The prosecutor? Is it really any of your business? If you're so curious why don't you drive to Belgrade and talk to Graeme in person instead of hiding on the internet? You could visit Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, etc. so the trip wouldn't be a total waste of time.:p

Aren’t you hiding behind the internet right now attempting to call someone else out for being on the internet? Grow up.

People are asking questions for possible future investments. Attempting to bully them on the internet to silence them accomplishes nothing and makes you look like a tool.

No actually, my name is Dan. I’m contemplating one of their campers, and I’d like to know more about the accusations before I fork over some serious cash. Take the d*ck out of your mouth before replying back.

Not meaning to bully. OK, why doesn't he PM Graeme requesting an explanation? Call someone else out for being on the internet? Now that's really a stretch. Actually, why not give Graeme a phone call asking for an explanation? Nothing like one to one dialog to clarify the situation.
Who's the tool? I can see that you're part of the NorCal hit squad.:(

I'm in the similar position, but I redacted the last sentence of the quoted post. I sold my Flippac while it was in mint condition because there was no support, no parts (except for SwayAway torsion bar) and I didn't feel like learning how to work on boats to fix any wood/fiberglass breakage. This is going to be a long term investment for me and possibly enable me to live out of my truck and work, so it's a pretty big deal to hear actual facts and issues rather than people bitch.

I'd start here. There are a lot of inexpensive forest campgrounds: https://www.recreation.gov/search?q=bozeman

Depending on what time the install gets done the Walmart parking lot in Bozeman is quite nice as well,

I haven’t camped out there, it when I drove from Bozeman to big sky there were a lot of campgrounds on the way. They all were along a river. Not sure what the snowpack looks like right now though, so they might all be closed.

Thanks for the link. I’m going to check that out.

Check out iOverlander or freecampsites. There’s tons of stuff out there in the National forests, or you can hit the parks if you want amenities

A bunch of the national forest roads are gated until later in the year. I found out the hard way while looking for a few campsites the night before picking mine up.
