A lot of people on here seem to trade in their tacoma and move on to something else, will you keep your tacoma forever?

I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
    With little luck YES:D
BTW: I think there is more people thinking about keeping forever then trading up every few years. Its just if you keeping forever you not going to start thread every year saying "I am still keeping my truck forever, what do you think":D

I keep cars about 7-10 years. I'll probably keep the Tacoma about that long then sell it.

I may not keep my current Tacoma forever but I will almost certainly always drive a Tacoma!

I told my son when he's old enough to drive he can have mine and I can get a new one. That'll be another 10 years or so. But no I don't plan on ever getting rid of the truck.

i agree with solus..it an economics question for me.

i will never have a car payment again (i hope)..i will drive this truck into the ground. i put $650 per month into a savings, or CD to save for my next truck..that i will drive into the ground. forever? in truck years..yes. in human years, no.

I trade every 5 years. I'll be on to something different in 2015, that is, if we get past Dec. 21, 2012.

I drive a TON, and if I keep it for even 3-4 more years I will be way into the 200000 mi mark. Thats fine, but it has to be dependable for me, and not cost more to run.

I can tell you this for sure, I will have a tacoma for the rest of my life, might just not be the current one I have.

I'll keep it until I need something different, or until it becomes unreliable as a daily driver.

Costs too much to keep a 10+ year old car in good reliable condition. All my trucks before were Nissans though, so let's see how the Tacoma holds up. I voted "Undecided"

My last Toyota (88 4Runner) went around 350,000 with general maintanence. This one I'll probably trade in around the 75,000 mark...way too much electronics to go wrong on these newer trucks. That said, at the rate I'm putting miles on this one it will be 15 years before I hit 75,000 miles.
