Water spots on outside of windows?

Does anybody know how to get rid of the water spots on the outside of windows? Im in desperate need of getting rid of those things.

another cheap option is to mix iso alcohol with water 50/50. ...i use it to clean my flat screen tv's as well as my truck windows.

i've also heard of waxing your windows, however, i've never tried it

 

Check autozone some have kits to clean off water spots. But if none is around I'll use clay bar with quick detailer then finish off with window cleaner. Works great for me. I used to use steel wool too. But it was too messy.

 

I used vinegar and water 50/50 and it worked.

 

NuGlass. I had them bad on mine for a while. Put a spot of NuGlass about the size of a dime on a rag and rub it into the size of a softball on the window. It takes some elbow grease. Keep rubbing and you'll start to hear squeaking. When you hear the squeaking, the spots are gone from the spot you're workin on. It takes a while, and like I said, some elbow grease, but it works great.

 

Rain-X window cleaner works for me.

 

yuup, whenever i worked in a VW dealer i used 00 wool to get rid of any overspray or anything else that would stay on the glass.

 

Vinegar and water will do it. Same method used on show boats to clean the hull.

We bought all kinds of water spot remover to get water spots off the boat, only to find vinegar and water in a spray bottle worked better. Wipe it down with a chamois and you're spotless.

 

Go get some of this stuff and it works lke a charm. Verry easy to use, and it gets the spots out soo quick!

I'd say don't waste your money going out to buy a product just to clean the hard water spot stains off. For the bad stains that won't clean off with glass cleaner, just grab what ever metal polish you have in the garage, it will take it right off.

Then for some extra protection, wax your windows & enjoy how the water beads off & how much better your windshield wipers will work.

 

You forgot to tell him to wax them only on the outside, I have a friend that since they look soo good on the outside he did it inside too .

 

How about 000 steel wool. Would that put nanoscopic scratches? Cause I can deal with that
