    Hey all. Quick intro, new to this site. Wife and I are shopping for used midsized pickup/van. Been very impressed with Tacoma ratings and history. Unfortunately American made doesn't hold much for me anymore. Hoping in our search, this site may help make a decision on upcoming purchases. Thanks for letting me inquire and lurk. Russ

    Tacomas are built in Texas and Mexico. 4 runners are still built in Japan .

    Then buy a 4 runner. They are still built on the mother land and have the best shot at being problem free. The early 2nd gens built in Mexico were great.... less automation and more hands on.
    All the new automation is leaving a lot to be desired for. Calibration seems to go to shit, then you get a bunch out of spec off the line, but how many before mistakes are corrected.
