The “normal” directions with the 3 leaf aal is the remove the overload but the would really kill your cargo capacity. So if you don’t go with OME and go with aal I’d definitely say to leave the overload in. This gives you .5” of additional height just because of the thickness of the leaf. Sometime I wish I would have kept mine in but if I decide to switch it back I’ll probably just go with a complete leaf pack

I run a 3 leaf AAL with the overload in, just over 2 inches front and back.

Front is 887 coils on 5100s, tires are 265/70/17 and I also run SPC UCAs.

Makes sense with most aals being 1.5”
And maybe I should have been more specific - my icon aal instructions recommends removing overload. Other 3 leaf Aals out there may not.

I run ome front coil overs in my tundra and 5100’s with stock coils in my tacoma. Just out curiosity, is there a reason why you and others run ome coils with 5100’s? Why not just use ome struts with ome coils? I’m just interested is all.

Have run the 5100s front and back on my 1st gen for years and like them, just a habit for me.

This. I did all of Uwharrie (except Daniel) in a lifted F150. Only reason I didn’t try Daniel was because it was my DD and I was a weenie. My buddy’s 78 Bronco on 44’s made the whole park look like a dirt road. That said, a Tacoma with a decent lift and a competent/patient driver could do the whole thing.

I agree with finding a friend or forum members who can help. I thought I was going to have to pay to lift mine, but two friends who had lifted some full sizes before helped me out and we knocked it out in about 4-5 hours.

2018 TRD OR. That set up put my bed just slightly higher than the front. For your application, just measure from the center of the hub to the fender. That will tell you how it will sit after adding 2”/1”.
