I bought it before 0058/0062. That Toyota update stole ovtunes thunder. Does OVTune help? Probably. Does it live up to all the circle jerking going on in that thread? Nope.

The TSB improved my truck enough that I decided against the tune.

As for the thing I regret...I regret letting 4 Wheel Parts install myBakflip tonneau. I had heard the bad stories about them but figured it was free and how bad could they screw up a cover install.

My free install ended up costing $600 to repair as they drilled a hole through my gas filler line.

Dude, you don’t just live in NY state, you live in Brooklyn! Even parking a Civic sucks in that borough. (I used to live in Bay Ridge.)

I don’t know about regretting, they are a great upgrade. But the Philips are even better for cheaper, with longer life. :)

Dude the crosstrek is garbage. Get rid of it soon, the resale drops like a rock. Mine had a recall on valve springs, lawsuit forced warranty extension on the entire CVT transmission, and a lawsuit forced warranty extension on piston rings. They still blow head gaskets, they fly through axles like crazy. Subaru isn't what it used to be. I literally only bought a subaru because they were supposed to have great resale, but I got $7500 for mine with 116k miles, I had a yaris before that I paid 10k less for and got more than that with 160k miles.

TBH kinda regret the taco. It's the right rig, does the right things, and has the right wife acceptance factor, but a cheaper wheeling rig plus a nice family rig might have been a better choice. But the runner doesn't come with a stick, and the newest ones are a little bloated and definitely needed a refresh back in 16.

So yeah, a few regrets. But that's a bunch of wishwashy bullshit. It's like 'too bad I didn't get with the <hotter girl> than the <present girl>'. I mean she does everything and is awesome, but damnit... right?

I needed a long bed but knew the longer wheelbase would make it hard to find parking in Brooklyn, so I ended up with an access cab. I usually have to find parking around Park Slope like 3-4 times a day.

I came from a ram, and sometimes I wonder did I do the right thing. I dont really have any complaints, but I also dont have things that I love. I really like it, but I definitely cant tell my wife I reallly really really like you honey...
But then again I never modded any vehicle as much as I have this one, havent driven as often as I have this one, and was never happy driving the others as well... so..

Cold air intake. I wish I got it a year ago instead of just last week.

I still have my 4runner for stuff that involves people and comfort. But I needed the crew cab because i also keep stuff in the back seats like gear and stuff. And keeping it in the bed area in NYC isn’t safe even while locked up.

yea the non waterproof thing doesnt bother me, its water proof enough. If I have luggage or anything wont really get wet, especially if its close to the front.

Its just all the damage that came with it and lack of fitting properly that dissapointed me.

Same here, waterproofing isn’t the deal breaker for me. Price and keeping people out is

I mean if we had all the money in the world and can dream up any vehicle we want... but we can't. So really, unless you're a couple beers in and just musing, well... no ragrets
