My recommendation is to never use a pressure washer on anything that you want to keep looking good. It's so easy to mess up the paint. You asked. :anonymous:

Ryobi electric 1700psi 1.2gpm... have for 2 years works good for $150... had a few Karchers that worked great, when they worked.

As long as you use common sense and dont literally put the nozzle on the paint, there is no problem with pressure washers.

I use one sold at costco. Powerstroke 1800 psi i believe. Works excellent and i can return it indefinitely when it does break. And they dont last forever.

Works great with w foam cannon and on the underbody and wheel wells.

Yeah great with a foam cannon... use the nozzle recommended for car washing, not the one for cleaning cement.B7468A3C-7B78-431D-883C-974EAD44D55B.jpg

That’s the one I bought specifically for car washing as the psi is not crazy. Does light duty house clean up too. Cleaning sidewalks and cement would definitely need something better, but it will do in a pinch

Electric is fine and you won't overdo it on the paint. I worry about the higher pressure ones with the wrong nozzles damaging paint. My old house has some damaged brick and painted 2x10's with my name written on them haha.

I can say that electric can be nice if you aren't using it very often since there's no need to drain the gas when you're done but if you're washing more often or need it for larger home projects, gas is better for power and longevity. I sprung for a Goodyear hose and high quality quick connects too. We use ours quite a bit once a year to prep our wood log siding and decks for stain.

i'm using a greenworks 1950 psi, 1.2 gpm (model GPW 1953). it was $140 through the greenworks website (i believe it's last year's model).

i was initially hesitant about getting an electric pressure washer, but since it was only going to be used for washing cars, i didn't want to deal with gasoline. At $140, i don't care if it quits in 2 years.

only complaint is that i wish the flow rate was higher.

if you're curious, obsessed garage did a pretty thorough evaluation on youtube of almost every electric power washer available on Amazon.

Exactly, mine has an adjustable head. 15°, 40°, 800psi, and two soap functions if you want to use the built in soap tank (i never have)

Most foam cannons only produce 200psi or less. So they can’t really damage anything...if anyone was curious and didn’t know. :) @Tullie D
