I just turbo'd my 3rz about a month ago. Running 4.5 psi on the stock ecu. I'll eventually up boost, but being new to the forced induction world I think starting small is best. The previous owner of my kit was running 8psi with water/air intercooler on the stock ecu.

Edit: There is also a small chance your factory ecu is tuneable. 03-04 ecus for the 5vz apparently are according to Ovtune. It might be worth looking if the processor on your ecu has "D76" on it. No confirmed 3rz ecus yet but it's worth a shot.

Thanks. I'm looking at it- just so I understand, you have a 5 or 10 psi spring installed?

I had a 5 I believe, I no longer have the truck. the main thing is you have the over boost cut enabled so you don't blow up. then test what works best, start small and move up.

Base duty cycle - this is the table you will be adjusting
target pressure - is pretty self explanatory
Start delay - this is the set pressure the controller starts to work.
proportional, integral and derivative are like all the other closed loop tables.

I don't think I adjusted the gain tables. I would hit my target pretty good with those settings.

    Right on, thanks.
Just to be sure, this setup is ok?
I have an internal wastegate, and my MAC :
    1-bleed
    2-vac/boost source
    3-wastegate actuator

Someone with more internal waste gate knowledge might want to chime in but I believe port 2 (common) would be connected to the wastegate, and 3 (normally open) would be your boost source/manifold.

Have you been running it like that? Has there been any increase in boost?

Yeah, I'll do that tomorrow. That diagram clearly shows I've been running it wrong

If its backwards it will not do anything because it can't vent.

there should be a separate function for overboost cut.
