2010 Cup Holders - Will pre-2009 fit?

Alright, so I had a 2008 and now have a 2010. The cup holders in the 2010 are garbage and way too small. Taking the inserts out is bad because then stuff just moves around. I want to get the same thing as the 2008 but am curious to know if it fits before I waste $28 on that cheap plastic part.

Has anyone tried this?

Any help would be appreciated.

 

i heard that they are interchangeable,shouldn't be an issue

 

They look identical to me. I drove some 10's before I bought my 09 and wondered why they took out the plastic piece that was adjustable and replaced with the goofy rubber thing.

BTW the 09's have the adjustable holder thing too.

Maybe go see your salesman and see if they have an 09 and older you could do a quick test with. If you have bought recently that might be an option.

 

I wish., I have had it for about a year. But just took a rode trip with it and it really became unacceptable during the road trip... I might just buy it and bite the bullet if it does not fit...

I will wait for someone though, i can't imagine that no one here has done this.

 

It looks as if the three little sets of tabs are the same.I went from '06 to '10 and had the same thoughts.

A junk/salvage yard perhaps.

I had an 2009 4x2 base access cab. I traded it in for a 2010 TRD Sport Prerunner. When I did the trade I kept the plastic adjustable cup holder divider. I now use it on the 2010 without any problems.

eBay it might be... We'll see. I don't mind the 40 bucks. But I would rather pay 10.

 

Just did a buy it now in ebay for 25 bucks for a new one...

The fit of the 2005-09 cup holders was perfect. Just in case anyone else is wondering.
