I had a compression fracture a few yrs ago and shifted my tailbone. Long drives have hurt since then. I got these spacers and it has helped alot (2nd gen tacoma).

I'm only 5'10" would it be more advised to get larger then 1" or is 1" sufficient?

 

I ordered mine today so I don't have the actual product but I did installed some sockets that where exactly one inch to test it out and determine if it was enough. It worked for me (I'm also 5'10"). I do have a sunroof and didn't touch the headliner. I'll provide input once received.

The other thing people need to realize is that the 1" spacer won't actually raise the seat height by one inch. It will only raise the back of the seat, and the front bolts will act sort of like a pivot point. So the seating area will be raised by less than the spacer size plus it will change the angles of the reclining back support. Not by much.

 

I am 5' 10" and that is what feels good to me also.

 

Installed mine a couple of weeks ago when warmer weather finally arrived. They are a definite improvement for both wife & I. Can't imagine not having them now. More comfortable with the level seating position. Pleasantly surprised & pleased with this easily installed modification.

as a follow up.

i removed them and put them under the wife's seat.

too me, they were making my sitting position too "Proper". did not like it...DO NOTE: I did not have an issue from the stock position, but thought I'd give the riser's a go anyway.

best news... she loves them and can now see over the hood....so still a win and I am glad I tried them out, if not only a short time before my better half got them.
