I bought mine from Canada when they were fairly new for $135 Canadian which ended up being like $105 here. Then after a few months of it waiting on me to paint it I sold it to someone for the same price.

thank you! As a highschooler my budget wasnt the biggest so its a relatively cheaper one but I am happy with it. I will admit though I dont really need the winch either. In the 9 months I have had it I only needed it twice thankfully. Most of my "wheeling" isnt that extreme and usually a tow strap or snatch strap gets the job done. But it looks cool and it is always nice to know I have just in case:thumbsup:

I ordered mine yesterday, and it’s going to take a month for delivery

The results look great though! I have a black 2011 Taco, so I’m think it may look good without being color matched.

Looks great! Also meant to mention I got the raptor style lights as well. Excited to eventually share my build!

installed my new grill. color matched it with a quick 20/20 paint job lol. didnt come out to bad i like the new look. also looks good with the lights. might be adding the raptor lights later. i went ahead and did some very minor modification to better fit the grill.

on the brackets below that clip onto the headlight housing, if you notice the OEM grill has holes for the clip to go through the bracket so i drilled out a through hole on the new grill cause the grill would not sit properly and was sticking up to high past the hood, now it sits down nice and even with the hood.
    FullSizeRender1.jpg FullSizeRender.jpg

i also noticed the grill would not sit back flushed with the headlights and resulted with a big gap between the hood and grill so i notched the top bracket holes so the grill now sits further back.
    IMG_2049.jpg
plus instead of using the original clips on the sides i used a nut bolt and a washers so the grill also stays flush with the headlights cause there is to much play with the original clips and the grill tends to want to come forward and you see a step from the lights to grill transition.

Looks good. How are the panel gaps between the lights/grille, hood/grille and the bumper/grille?

How did you wire up your raptor lights? Just tied them directly to the parking lights? They’re LED, so I wasn’t sure if they needed a power inverter to prevent flickering.

So just figured i would chime in here. Ive been in talks with a couple of the chinese suppliers about changing the mold of this grill and addressing some of the things people have said they dislike about it.
    - bringing the "horizontal bar" lower and into the actual grill area
    - creating an inner border around the mesh grill to allow a hard line to divide painted surround from grill.
    - fixing the hood seal issue somehow
    - potentially changing the triangle vents back to honeycomb style like stock

Obviously a trash fauxtoshop but something more like this:
    TRD Faux Grill.png

Just wanted to put a feeler out there for people who would do a "backorder" purchase on a shopify store if i actually go ahead and have this produced. This would be once I have had a sample produced and 3d renderings etc. The purchase in shopify would allow people to contact their merchant provider(paypal, etc) or credit card company and get their money back if i didnt actually deliver the product at the end of the day. I would obviously just refund everyone, but just saying that for your security.

How many people would be open to that type of thing? It would probably have to cost about $175 to make it worth my while. Currently Im getting quotes of 500 pieces minimum order plus a mold fee. Seeing if i can get that number down. I would need probably 6-8 weeks to get this manufactured and delivered once I had some threshold of financial commitment.

Anyways, as someone who has attempted (unsuccessfully) to vacuum form my own "TRD PRO" grill for the 05-11's. Im pretty stoked about potentially producing the product everyone is looking for. I think this one thats come out just misses the mark a bit. No shade to the guys running it, some of the paint matches look pretty dope.

Thoughts about actually putting money down with a 6-8 week lead time?

I installed my new grille, raptor lights, and spyder headlights a couple nights ago, and I was really impressed with how it transformed the look of my truck. The issue I have is that the grille doesn't like to sit in the headlight bracket (like Crent89 did), and that the top of the grille doesn't create a nice line through to the hood. I think the design would be better with about an 1/16-1/8 inch less height on the top of the grille. And yes, the better centered horizontal bar with the Toyota would tempt me to buy another!
