Houses are cheap too

 

The nearly 20% sales tax when going out to eat was the one that got me. Plus not being used to paying state income tax.

 

It’s not nearly that high where I’m at. In Norfolk area. Everything is cheap lol

When I lived there it depended on what you were buying, what kind of store, and where the store was. And we were just across the water in Hampton.

 

Could get around those taxes buying online?

 

That’s changing pretty quick. Many online venders are charging sales tax for all states instead of just where they have a physical presence.

 

I haven’t came across that yet but then again I may just not have realized it too

 

There was a recent Supreme Court case that stated states have the right to pull sales tax on online transactions.

They can also slow or speed up your internet speeds on certain sites.

 

Internet neutrality, it was nice knowing ye.

 

In the end, it all bends over to the almighty buck.
