Haha I caught like a foot of air in the mud and instantly regretted it when I got covered in shit. It lands super nice though

 

Yeah, came with a spare wheel and paddle, extra sprockets, spare radiator, levers, oil, filters, service manual, flag, and some other random shit

 

It was still a bit chilly this AM

They were definitely not cold welded I can tell you that much

 

I don't know enough about welding to speak on his process but I'll let the man himself explain, @Shmellmopwho what do you use to weld up your sliders?

true it didn't get buried in the beach, did get buried in the dunes a few times during recovery lol.

When I was airing up near the entrance on Sunday a high tide wave came crashing in and got me and a bunch of other people that were parked there, it was pretty funny. But sucked

 

Im gunna try to rub it off with a scoth pad and if it just crap caked on then cool. If not ill sand it down

2nd Gen shells should fit our six foot beds. I see 2nd Gen guys running 1st gen shells and vice versa.

I used to dig sand. You totally bail a jump not even bend a lever or most of the Times plastics.

I have a CREW CAB so it wouldn't come close to fitting. Now on an ACCESS CAB, maybe

 

Ive only read them do that on 2nd gens with soft toppers not actually shells.

 

A 2nd gen axle is like 4” wider so u would assume the bed is much wider too

 

Access Cab is an official term used by Toyota. I’m okay with that.

Crew Cab is domestic pickup truck terminology and is where I draw the line.

 

yeah I didn't think the width would be the same, aren't 2nd gens a little bit wider? Also the part that meets the cab would look off
