2019 Formula 1 Season Paddock

We use playstation vue (you don’t have to have a playstation btw) and that gives us access to ESPN app on the Firestick which has all F1 practice/quals/races and no commercial breaks. Plus you can watch when you want. It is about $45/month plus your internet subscription but my father-in-law and I split so win win.

 

I was thinking WEC for Motor Trend Channel. WRC I think is on ESPN 3.

I have lousy predictions so I won't bother this weekend but I am hoping for redemption for Leclerc and a long overdue podium for McLaren. The Honda is looking pretty mint.

 

If I had to bet I'd put my money on Ferrari this weekend.

I'm with @se7enine that it would be nice to see Shall Eclaire get the win.

Best race ever if Fishlips fuks up and takes himself out along with Hamilton, Bottas takes second, Vettel struggles then spins himself into backmarker oblivion fighting Norris gifting Norris a miracle Mclaren podium, Haas sucks up the 4th and 5th place points with Magnussen in 4th and Grossjeans brain fading yet again by destroying his car after crossing the finish line causing Steiner to fire him on the spot. THAT would be one helluva day.

I'm watching the F1 series on Netflix, and I'm on the episode where all the shit goes down between Red Bull and Renault.

LMAO! So as the kids these days say, cringe. The interaction between Christian Horner and Cyril is awesome. Especially when they meet before the press conference when Daniel is announcing he's leaving RB and going to Renault.

I'd just be happy to see both Haas cars get points. Not a Grosjean fan...needs to be replaced with an American...but Haas need both drivers to earn their paycheck, not just Mag!

 

There are highly capable drivers either sitting on the sidelines or playing silly games in FE. Bringing one up to speed over the course of several races would be better than keeping Grossjeans.

 

Seeing him run in Formula 1: Drive to Survive was hilarious. He runs like a busty chick, hands out elbows in and waddling.

 

Intentional, its what I call him. Same kinda thing with Shall Eclair and Fishlips.

 

Not sure if you were implying the McLaren still has a Honda here, but they partnered with Renault this year. McLaren won’t see a podium this year or anytime soon.

 

I don't know, Redbull made it to the podium last year with a Renault PU.

 

In my opinion its becoming evident that the problem with the McLaren/Honda partnership land with McLaren's chassis design. McLaren blamed Honda for their woes, but now that they're with Renault its clear there are chassis design issues on McLaren's part. Renault on the other hand didn't like RedBull criticizing them publicly for their reliability issues, now that they have their own team they can't even finish a race. Hard to blame others for that. The Renaults did show good pace while they were still running though, so there's that.

 

Watched a few more episodes of the F1 series on Netfilex. They were the ones about then Force India, and HAAS.

What a shit show Force India is/was... poor Ocon lost his seat because money talks, and unfortunately for him he doesn't come from wealth. And Roman... what a mess that guy is. WOW.

 

I'm watching the Netflix series too. Ocon comes off pretty well for sure, and Grosjean not so much. As his team principal said, he's a brilliant driver when he gets it all right but he makes too many mistakes. I was pretty surprised that Ocon didn't end up there, and after seeing the two on the Netflix series even more so.

Re McLaren: is it just me or does this Norris guy seem like the real deal.

Re Red Bull: WTF Gasly, get your act together. Red Bull does not long suffer bad results.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if Gasly gets demoted but for now he's above in points over Toro Rosso.
Poor Ricciardo with 2 DNF's has somehow managed to bring his bad luck from Red Bull.
