Do you have our flash kit? we are working on some patch features for N/A as well.

I'm working on the code right now. So I'll be able to show you guys what we are doing this week hopefully. Now that we've got all 3rd gen code out of the way for now we can get a lot done on this platform relatively quick.

Okay, at the moment we are building these for our flash kit as they can be updated quickly, then it will be ported to the handhelds

It was always planned for us, but since we are two people, it takes time, and is community driven. Would of started months ago if there were less problems with the 3rd gen.

Mat are you able to create a custom tune on the handheld for either e85, if I go to a much smaller pulley 2.3 or 2.5 and upgrade my fuel pump/ injectors. Or if I set up a water meth injection kit that was set to turn on at 3-4 psi? The 93 Tune is nice but f#*k these gas prices rn. $100 for a tank of 93 right now ayye no thanks :frusty:

The expanded resolution is nice, but changing the code for how load is calculated will make it better, all the incremental load changes will have better use than before.

So for example stock load Calc, full throttle and in boost you might already be at 150-160 percent. With our change you'll be closer to 115-125 percent.
    Then more boost..130...140...150..

Alright we are working with a few folks with our flash kit.

Even better news we are getting a truck for R/D in a few days, and will be developing a lot more custom code / features.

@OVTune Mat, first I must say it impresses me to see your participation in the HP Tuners Thread.

So now that the HP Tuners product is out, what are your plans going forward?

Selfishly for my situation specifically, 2014 automatic Transmission, Naturally Aspirated, stock setup, I have the handheld running the 91 octane tune....are there going to be future improvements from you for the tune in my truck? Ideally I’d like a 93 octane power tune that doesn’t care about mpgs and a separate tune for maximum mpg. And I can use the handheld to switch between the two.

Is that possible and something you could provide in the future?

@OVTune i absolutely second that in giving you props for your participation in the HP thread as well.

I too am very curious about what is in store for the future with us 2nd gens.

I have a supercharged handheld which is what I need due to the fact I lack the computer skills and confidence to tune my own vehicle.

I also have a 2014. Supercharged with some mods. As you know I have a 91 & 93 octane tune. I’m looking for something a little more specific for my mods.

There are quite a few things we are working on going forward.
First, we've adjusted the price of our 4.0 flash kits.

Second, we now have a truck that we can develop code on that we can port directly to this platform.
If you haven't seen, check out our map switching video we did with our tundra.
It let's you have two completely separate tunes on the ecu that you can switch between with a button.

There's also several shifting tables we plan to mod with code.

    Extended tables we have done.
If there is something you see in the HPT thread and you want it in your tune, just let us know.
Lots of the stuff being chatted about over there has already been in our tunes for over a year.
Like the 2D throttle tables that is the rave right now..

For SC trucks we are working on flex fuel code already.

The only things I can't do are things posted in there that are blatant emissions Tampering. I would urge caution on what you guys post publicly the EPA doesn't joke around.

Okay...I want a 93 octane tune For power and a second tune for highest possible fuel economy that I can load from my handheld.

I did see you mention that. To recap. The off-road blatant feature is one you won’t touch or is it something that you could do for strict off-road purposes providing the equipment WILL stay intact?...just curious.
Rev hang would be huge (6spd), the throttle response like those guys are happy about, and something overall more specific to my mods. They seem to be getting much added power as well as a gpm increase. If I provided you with my setup, is that something you could do and send me to download to my handheld?

Yes I can make some adjustments to your tune on your handheld.
Regarding off road stuff, we would need some sort of proof the truck is used for off road / competition. If the guy over there offering service to people wants to do that, you'll have to go that route. I really don't think people know just how aggressive the EPA really is. Being "1 guy" or an "individual" or not even doing it as a business will not save you. You don't get warnings you get massive fines. Especially when the sole purpose of the service is to eliminate emissions components on a non off road truck, you might get jail time. They came after me for even POSTING about check engine lights on facebook even though I never gave it to anyone.

Reading power from maf grams is a guessing business. There seems to be people happy about the response changes but you can't make power guesstimates accurately from just taking MAF readings.

Perfect example the skyactiv 2.0L reads about 120 g/sec peak of airflow on the MAF, take the "basic" equation of maf x 1.2 = "bhp" (it's a far fetched guess) and that leaves us with 144BHP.

Lets be more generous. 1.3. That leaves us at 156BHP. That's less than stock advertised and far less than actual tuned gains. Making guesstimates on power from MAF readings is what people did 10, 15 years ago..

Those engines will make 200+BHP with that much air. A dyno is what tells you how much power is actually being made. Making power figures from MAF gram readings is loaded in my opinion. It's as accurate as a butt dyno. Similar to throttle scale changes. You can make a vehicle feel stronger, torque-ier by modifying throttle tables but actually gaining 0 power.

This is just my opinion of what I know from tuning for many years, I think most good tuners would agree with me.

Completely understood on the off-road stuff. I also do get what your saying with the rest. The rev hang is an annoying pet peev as most would agree with these 6spds. I guess the most beneficial tune with my given mods I can get and some throttle table tuning is what I’m after.
