Yeah dunno how a shell would be possible. 2nd gens are pretty wide compared to the 1st gens. And the bedrails are completely different.

They are a little wider, the guy I sold my sandblast cabinet to had a shell that could fit both first and second Gens according to the manufacturer.

    Bunch of stuff

Hey Ryan, he’s referring to the amperage used during the time I welded your sliders on to your truck. Referring to the amount of heat uses to penetrate the metals at the attachment point. At the time I built you sliders which was years ago now, I was still getting better (even still getting better and practicing all the time) and had more to learn about welding horizontally overhead. Typically because of the gravity working against you in that position you’d want to turn up your heat and wire speed a little to compensate. Those horizontal welds were probably a little cold but as you can testify to the strength of your sliders themselves and the way they were welded on, they haven’t failed you yet hahaha. They’ve saved your truck on numerous occasions. Just like anything that you practice at, you usually get better. I have learned more about MIG and like to think that I’ve gotten better at it.

Yeah I didn't really know what cold welding was lol, I looked it up and it didn't sound like what you were doing that day but I know next to nothing about welding. Thanks for clearing it up!

And yeah no complaints here, my sliders have taken a beating and then some
