    Hello!

I'm new here and have a question for you guys that no one in the Toyota parts department seems to know the answer to.

Will the 2018 TRD Pro Grille fit on my 2016 Tacoma Limited?

I've been talking to a lot of people and searching the internet for a definitive answer, but can't seem to find anything.

    Thanks!

The 2016-2019 grill sizes are all the same but the 2018+ has the garnish piece for the safety sense but you can still put it on your 2016!!!

    Still stock completely capable!
This x2! You have a 16 so get a 16-17 it doesn’t have the slot for the TSS sensor and looks a lot more clean. IMO

As others have said it should fit.

From my experience the only thing the parts department people know about the parts is if they are in stock or not. Not too surprised they didn’t know.

Thanks so much for your responses, I appreciate your help!

I just bought the 2018 grille yesterday because it was cheaper than the 2016-2017 and was just hoping that it would still fit so I didn't have to dish $400+. So I guess the only other thing I need is the garnish right?

Garnish not required. The garnish is for the TSS sensor in the grille on 2018+ Tacomas. The grille should come with a plastic block off plate that will work for your application.

Pro grill? Well I guess since you've decided to be like EVERYONE else and switch to a pro grill then yes it will fit.

And what's wrong with the OP decision to go with a Pro grill?

Nothing at all. Pro grills look great, better than the stock grill.

As for your statement "like everyone else" how would it apply to paint color and trim choices? Like everyone else?

Thanks for the insight Chad, that's super helpful! Don't want to drop another $50 if it's not needed

The 18 grill will still need something to cover up the hole where the garnish goes. doesnt come with it

Pro grills looking better than stock grills is opinion based. And it's not that the Pro grill is ugly it's just that if you want the Pro look then get the Pro otherwise you're posing. May as well throw some Pro badging on the sides and call it a Pro. It's like how Dodge puts Hemi on their trucks when in fact they do not have hemispherical heads in their blocks. No hemispherical combustion chamber like they did back in the day. It's a total mall crawler move but that's a whole other topic
