My dealer said I was the only one that order the 16” pro wheels they said they had a ton of the 17” wheels off the 4 runner so makes me feel good there should not be a ton of my style around

They suck in snow, the first year ok, but not any more. Oh, almost had grapplers before it left the lot, but shit didn’t work out, those tires don’t look like they belong on 4x4. But get for the mpgs

Yep, junk. First year did a 100 plus mile trip, nasty storm. Did good, but still didn’t like em. This year, under 25k miles, on them, driving in snow sucks. I wasn’t going to get rid of them, till coming back in a snow storm and my ass checks where clenched so tight it was a week before I could take a shit. Planned to replace the tread before next winter.0

Threw my TRD pro rims on my 4Runner this weekend. I couldn't stand the idea of putting them on with stock tires. Found a local guy who was selling his tire take offs from his 4Runner pro. He hooked it up for only $300 and they were brand new. He had two 4Runner Pro's and an FJ Trail Team Edition just sitting in his driveway. Pretty cool guy.
Funny how rims and tires can make a HUGE difference.
As stated before, I ordered these rims at 10pm the night before the sale. Then I ordered a skid plate around 5pm on the day of the sale. Wheels shipped the next day, but my skid has yet to be shipped. Called Stevinson West, and they said they are waiting for more inventory and are sending them in order from when they were placed. Makes sense, since I ordered my wheels seconds after the sale started. They confirmed that they will be getting more toward the end of the week.

I should have mentioned that the plan is to put cold-weather tires on my stock sport wheels (maybe get them powder coated black first)

I appreciate the feedback on the stock tires! I drive <3k per year and I don’t off road. As bad as the Toyos suck, it just doesn’t make sense for me to get new ones.

Now for snow hooliganism.... that’s a different story! Realistically, I’ll probably get my wife snow shoes before my truck. Either way — snow tires on stock rims or not, my use doesn’t warrant new tires. Shitty stock tires for me forever...

...at least on my civic they were Michelin Pilots. Always wish ida gotten some real sticky tires for that one.

    Anyway, I do appreciate the input/concern :)

Mine is still sitting at payment confirmed. At least there's some movement. I'm not sure how long an authorization can sit on a card, but hopefully they get it out before it expires.

Same here. My tires are only like 8 months old so I'm going to get some more wear out of them before I get new ones.

I didn’t order from Butte or any of the dealerships being discussed but my status changed to received and the payment CLEARED my account (posted, is not pending). I take that as confirmation I will be getting my order... someday.... but without hassle about shipping costs, etc.

My friend who ordered the wheels, says they gave him his money back. Not sure of the details but I’m starting to get worried/upset that the same thing will happen to me. I ordered skid, exhaust, intake and knob...if they cancel my order what can I do??? They already billed me.

I guess you just pay off the bill with the refund and take whatever points you earned as consolation prize. :/

Let's not jump to conclusions. Until your order is cancelled, you may still be in the clear. Once it's cancelled, you call the dealership parts dept. and ask why. If the answer is not acceptable to you, call corporate and ask them if there's anything they can do.

Personally, I'm not accepting a cancellation of my order -- especially now that the payment has posted to my account. I will wait. I will come pick up the stuff. A cancellation without explanation is not going to fly for me. But again, let's not jump to conclusions. I'm sure that there were a TON of orders and they're getting through them as fast as possible. If you're concerned, call/email the dealership but understand that the more calls/emails they get, the less shipping/processing of orders they can do.

That’s like the wife calling you every five minutes to ask when you will be done, well every time you call it adds a few minutes.

Good to know, my order was late because I had cancelled two orders from earlier in the sale because hatch toyota decided to charge an extra $129 shipping. Luckily was able to find a different dealer to charge me shipping once. I'll play the waiting game here looking at all the new gear people are getting in this thread to pass the days on backorder.

Got the Pro's all mounted up and I'm very pleased.

One note for anyone swapping wheels Discount Tire tried to charge me $121 for the swap, I complained and they lowered to $84 which is still way to high. Guess they just don't get it, I won't be back to be nickle and dimed by them again!
