I did that at the library in school once. The computers were all taken and I was on one in the middle of the row...suddenly had bubble guts and held it until I was done with the computer, then timed once of the nastiest farts in history right as I left the computer. As I power walked out of there and turned the corner, I could see through the glass windows into the computer aisle and the entire row of students looked like they had just been hit with mustard gas, I was dying laughing lol

If I remember right, I had not one but two chorizo breakfast burritos at the cafeteria that morning, which explains it

I went to use the floor jack under my skid plate last night to rotate my tires, and the fucking wheels of the floor jack broke through the concrete on the driveway and left a couple of nice little 2" deep imprints where the wheels were. Ah the joys of renting a house built in 1925

Just make sure to put it under the sub frame cross member, haven't had any issues doing that. Works great to lift the front up both tires at a time.

Don’t lift it by the skid plate, try the exhaust

That might be why that's there, I have no idea but if it works then I guess it works. I've been at a number of 'mod days' at other TW members homes and everyone uses a floor jack under their steel skids, haven't seen anything bad come of it there or under my own truck for the last couple of years. Would be silly to have a floor jack IMO if you can only use it to lift the rear axle.

I never lift by skids, but that doesn't mean you can't, shit just never goes high enough unless you're just changing wheels. I lift by LCAs to get it real tall and then I can slide a jackstand under the frame.

I've tried that a couple times but it just felt too sketchy, the floor jack plate at least on mine doesn't fit well there. Bottle jack works well there though in a pinch.

yeah that's true, by the time I finally get my tires off the ground the floor jack is about maxed out lol. If I have to go higher I use the Hi Lift on the sliders.

Anyway now I'm sketched out AF to use my driveway for fear that it's going to cave under the jack or jack stands. FML

Be careful using the hi lift around home, shit likes to just walk out and slingshot on concrete. I can usually push it right off my truck on concrete even with weight on it. On dirt it digs in better. Some people make wood bases to trap it for use on concrete but I dunno, didnt seem worth it
