If it wasn't designed by John Moses Jesus Browning it's better off being used as a paperweight.

I recently purchased a 9mm Colt 1911 70 series competition in stainless. I spent weeks trying to decide between the Colt, Sig Match Elite & Springfield Range Officer Elite Target. Ultimately, I decided on the Colt because of its history with 1911s and because it was a lot harder to come by than the Sig or SA. I figured the rarity would help if I ever decided to sell it. Now that I've had a chance to shoot it a few times, resale value is a moot point. The gun is absolutely fantastic. It makes me, an average shooter at best, look like I know what I am doing. I highly recommend one if you're in the market for a 9mm 1911.

I really don't know what I am looking for yet. I'm going to probably buy locally,, but I need to research the process first.

Very nice. We have a Silencer Shop Kiosk/dealer locally - that should streamline the process tremendously. Even if I didn't have that local, I have access to free fingerprinting, etc.

Got my Flir in yesterday, going to play around with some factory 40gr vmax and 50gr federal HPs today and get it zeros. Then time to start calling in some dogs.

Put it on my 10.5 for now, other options are the 14.5 to the left or a 18" grendel. Goals are to grab another Tikka in .223 and cut it down to 16"

What's the turnaround time using the kiosk? Is it still like 200 days?

Had one...enjoyed it but too expensive to shoot regularly and ended up trading it away

Also recently purchased a Colt Delta Elite in 10 and enjoy it a lot more

Any particular use for it? I carry a G20 when hiking. Also have a Springfield Armory 1911 in 10, which is fun to shoot. They're snappy for sure, but you get used to it. : )

Do it! I have a Springfield TRP in 10mm and love it. Thinking of getting another 10mm just because and was looking at a Glock. If you reload it will be less expensive to shoot.
