Fuck that noise, I'm never getting a bumper now lol. Especially with our gas price hike. Seriously though that's a huge hit. I thought I was already bad averaging about 110-125 per half tank.

 

Yeah I've never heard of a Tacoma getting more than 12city, but they do decent on the hwy, I got 21 regularly

 

I've been getting the same if not worse highway mileage than city, but I think my roof rack and those big round lights up top are to blame. Gonna remove those once I work up the courage to do it cause I'll have to patch and paint the roof.

 

I still get 15mpg highway

 

That's pretty bad considering you have stock/street size tires on lol. Wonder why it's that bad, even supercharged when my truck was new to me (no other mods) I was getting a hair under 20mpg on the highway cruising 65mph. Those days are long gone though.

Should also mention I cruise at 75mph now

 

Hmm, guess I need to look into it more, my 200 does good and I can use a little bit of digital zooms if I have too.

I’ve really only used it twice so I don’t really know what I want/need...

I'm excited to drive the Z, that old V6 regularly pulls 26-29mpg if you aren't pushing it

 

I miss those days, my previous car (Scion tC) would get about that, and I used to complain about it too. Little did I know

 

Do you hear wind noise from the lights and rack at certain speeds?

 

Even stock i never got better then 16mph

 

ohhhhh yeah. Big time. At 70+ mph you can't have a conversation in my truck without talking loud lol. It wasn't too bad with just the roof rack but with the lights it's worse.

Also since I replaced the fender and it doesn't line up 100% theres a really annoying wind noise on my drivers side like my door isn't completely shut, probably something to do with the edges not being completely aligned like OEM and creating noise at higher speeds. Sort of making me prioritize finding an OEM fender now.

I can't in good conscious do that to a 1st gen with under 100k miles on it. Once I hit 150k+ I'll play around with those ideas.

 

Why not, dynamat is a pretty good sound deadener despite the PITA it is to install it

 

My interior is the only part of my truck still unscathed, I guess I just feel a little guilt about some of the mods (cough roof rack cough) that I really wish I hadn't done to it haha. I'd rather correct those things and see if it solves the noise problems before trying to sound deaden the cab

 

True but I’m still fairly new to this stuff, the hardest thing I’ve done is plugs and wires, or stereo install

 

I think it was your foot on the skinny pedal running at speed hoping to hit some wildlife and test out the ARB
