My truck tires (came on the truck) are such hard rubber, that I squeal the tires, from a stop, in 2nd gear.
But still have very soft sidewalls.

I want stickier tires, so am looking at the same tires I have on my xB & Miata- BF Goodrich Comp 2s. But, unlike them, the truck has stock (non sporty) suspension. So, are those overkill?

As for rims- I figure bigger rims are needed, so looking at 17s- specifically these 2:
    94778F80-68B4-4E14-967D-954F82436CA9.jpg

    The steelies are 22 pounds:
    https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-wheels/liquid-metal-atom/p/49027
If I get theses, I’ll probably paint them a tan/khaki shade.
(Should look good on the dark red truck)

The alloys are Konig Runlites, 19 pounds. I’d get the matte gray ones.
    https://www.discounttiredirect.com/buy-wheels/konig-runlite/p/13715

    Both are 17x7.5.

    What do ya’ll think?

My intent is street driving, no off-road.
My “look” is retro & I plan to road drive, only with future handling upgrades to the suspension.
    I’ll eventually need paint.

Look into Rota wheels...they have quite a selection of replica wheels. I used to run them on all my Honda's and Miata's back in the day.

That was an older picture, when looking at 16”- then realized 17s were similar weight & much better rubber.

I’ve looked, but haven’t found any sites that show the correct size & if they clear the 2wd Gen 1 caliper (a problem on these). Neither Tire Rack nor Discount Tire show them as fitting (may not carry Rotas).

Where do you go, the back alley dentist?
I can barely walk thru the door without getting charged $200.

Oh Cali. Don't you guys have free health care like the Canucks?

I think if you're unemployed or something you get some bottom of the barrel insurance. I dunno, I get it through my work. I had to get 2 fillings and then they put some weird shit on my teeth after. My mouth is still half numb and I'm trying to eat lunch. It's not going well

I was chewin super slowly, all on the right side. Luckily both the fillings were on the left, one top and one bottom, but the bottom numbing shit took over the whole left half of my jaw. Feeling is slowly coming back and my lip and tongue have the tingles. I think the worst part is, they put some stuff on, think they called it varnish, but its just stuck to my teeth and I'm not supposed to brush my teeth or anything until its all dissolved away by saliva. Feels gross.

I get $1500/yr for anything dental related. I only use my 2 cleanings per year. Costs me nothing.
