Yes, they are built from 1/4” aluminum so will take a pretty good hit. They are definitely not for the hard core rock crawler but we have been running the prototype on our for a few years now with good results.

We are. We haven’t really pushed much of the Tacoma stuff lately as we have been swamped with other platforms.
We are offering multiple items though.

Haha, thanks for your feedback but I take it you haven’t priced out aluminum lately? Honestly even the price I have them at they are hardly worth producing unfortunately. Realistically a full rear steel bumper would be cheaper and easier to manufacture than these but felt there was a lack of anything like this on the current market.

The only advantage I see in them being being aluminum is the weight, but at that size making them in steel wouldnt weigh the truck down all that much. Why not just make them in steel? Dont take it as an attack bro

The big advantage of aluminum is weight but there are many others as well. Aluminum will not rust and it takes powder coating much better than steel.
Also with the increased thickness to 1/4” the lager radius corners give a very clean look. Shipping is much easier as well. It may seam that the weight savings is minimal but it all adds up very quick!

Installed last night. Hardest part was removing all the factory parts without breaking anything. 20190409_090726.jpg

Emailed them with no response, these would look amazing polished. Requested them w/o recovery points and no light cut outs so itll appear close to stock.

Mine was ordered without light cutouts. Ben told me he could sell one without powder coat but it would take a Lot of work to finish yourself.

Not too hard to get aluminum to shine. Few grades of sand paper and then use z good polishing compound. How much were they shipped ?

No it doesn’t, hence the need for a cutout. But even then, apparently it doesn’t work all that well.

Right, but that defeats the purpose of a metal bumper or end caps right? I deleted my BSM and just have my backup sensors (which i don't really use) on my high clearance and have on regrets.
