front coil overs installed, unfortunately the top plate spacers (from previous set up) were left in due to some miscommunication, and it sits about 3/4" high for my liking. debating taking the spacers out... or taking the preload down a few turns. I'll also be adding the ARB front bump, sliders and skids... so that may help a touch as well. I think there's about 1.75" of thread as is with the top plates.IMG_7526.jpg

Take the spacers out and adjust the preload if needed.

Ok so I’ve read through most of this thread and I’ve seen that some have used these to compress their springs.
Just wanted to see which one would be the best for 2.5’s while still on the truck. I need to go 1/2” up on my driver side.
    Thanks

On 255/85R16 E rated Cooper ST MAXX at 30 psi cold.

Fox 2.5 DSC up front with 14” 600 lb springs. HD Dakar’s in the rear with Fox 2.0 resis. The ride is a little harsh now after going up a tire size since the Cooper’s are E rated and 15 lbs heavier than the Falkens I was running before.

Sending the fronts back to Accutune @*TRD* for a re-valve and removing two leafs in the rear. Should ride nice in a week or two.

Best decision I ever made was to ditch the Icons and contact @AccuTune Offroad - Top notch service at every turn!

I blew through lower ball joints and one lower control arm bushing when I was on Icon 2.5s with stock UCAs. The truck also rode like crap on the stock UCAs because of poor geometry. Simply changing the UCAs to Icons with the Delta Joint and getting an alignment made all the difference in the world.

My extended travel 2.5s came today. I'm debating to swap the springs out now to 650 lbs springs to accommodate 115lb bumper and a winch or stick them on and hope for the best. Thoughts?

So as this reads, if you add a front bumper, skids, and sliders, you DO need to upgrade springs...

Depends on the weight and desired lift height. AL bumper and skids at 2” lift may work out with 13” springs. But having a 14” long, 600 lb/in spring is the safe move.

Same story, you’ll want a 14x600 if you’re noticing a lot of sag. You’ll want to set ride height with the two people inside.

...I also ordered the 14" 600 pound coils for ARB summit bar +winch (synthetic line) + sliders. hopefully I get about 2 -2.5 inches of lift and it rides like a dream.

I'm thinking of going down to 14" 600lb springs. do you have a link for where you ordered them from?

14” 600s on mine. Fully armored with skids, bumper and winch. Perfect spring rate and plenty of lift.
