The other has been smoked and then seasoned with other seasonings for tacos tomorrow. I’ll put it in the sous vide and bring to temp then quick sear with some fresh peppers and onions.

If that had been in stock and not back ordered I'd twist your arm to do it.

I've reached out to a friend who lives in Australia to see if they actually still exist... They're 17 hours ahead of me so she hasn't answered yet.

    Dang.

I just heard from my friend from Queensland OZ. She says it’s all over but no one drinks that swell, just like Fosters, Aussies don’t touch that crap. According to her, it’s regular ole Jim Beam that captures the masses.

See, I hate JD black. It’s total crap IMO. I live just over an hour away from the distillery and it’s a neat place to visit, (been a couple of times) just don’t care for there product. Gentlemen’s Jack is tolerable.

Well you couldn't just order one bottle!
I'm gonna check a shop in Omaha tomorrow to see if they can order it. Iowa is a controlled state

All good. It's an acquired taste for sure. I only drink it with coke. Black label that is. P.s. if you ever come to Texas... I'm gonna need a Jack Daniels barrel or two :fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed::D

    If I could bribe ya.:spending:

Keep me posted. I'm headed to Lincoln this fall!

Well strangely enough, we have whole and half barrels at work with most all distillery labels burned in on the head. Half barrlles are $45.00 and whole ones are $110.00,shipping would suck!! JD ones sell out first, always. George Dickel ones are the best looking. And there is a Jack Daniels cooperage facility about thirty minutes from me.

The high end Scotch and tequila market has really driven up the prices of these used vessels. Bourbon has to be aged in “new charred white oak barrels”. Now the barrels are being re-purposed for Scotch and high dollar aged (Anejo) tequila.
