They aren’t unsafe without the radar/collision avoidance but they could be unsafe with one that is improperly calibrated and causes false emergency braking responses. Toyota is covering their ass by not allowing it to be adjusted if the vehicle is outside the established and tested criteria.

While the rest of them are somewhat understandable, that one is pure bs.

What about dealer installed lifts and grills as a market up package . That’s gonna be interesting...

Part of the reasoning they're there is to offset distracted driving.

Light will pop on, but automatic braking will be disabled, right?

There must be some way to disable this feature without having to look at a idiot light. Maybe through the ecu.

Exactly this. I purchased my lift components, wheels, and tires through my dealership, who then had their 3rd party contractor do the installs. I only did this because the dealer will cover any issues related to the mods under the standard Toyota warranty. Good luck telling me you can't take care this, Service Manager dude.

Hopefully the service manager will be man enough to honor it but ....... without a written contract regarding the mods, it sure is a long shot.

Written contract is in-hand. I wouldn't sign the dotted line without it.

Lol they actually included OEM Toyota grilles on certain trim levels that didn't already have them equipped. Trying to cover their bases.

It all goes to CYA. We all know there is no functional difference between a Pro model with the pro grill and a OR model with a pro grill installed.

welcome to the nanny world... I have an SR with the 2.7 and a 5 speed manual. It would be truly awesome if that TPMS BS could disappear. I do like that back up camera though...

You know that some dweeb for the Taco Pro design team fought in every damn meeting to have that included and was like: Muwahahahahaha! all fucking day.

Is this in regards to a specific TSB 18+ should be getting?
