Yes, I have pictures, but it's not "government-spec"...

It's a Suburban with the super rare LS trim; No leather seats and no Bose speakers. Unlike the 1500, which had three trims (LS, LT, and LTZ), the 2500 only came in LS and LT.

 

So, it's intended for business/fleet work?

Its big and comfortable for sure.

Think about the size though. That would be a big change from the RC. To me, where I'm at, its a little too big. Im parking in garages, navigating city traffic

Even though my truck is the longer chassis its still much more maneuverable than any full size

 

That looks like the shadiest government vehicle ever dude.

 

Yesterday, I detailed a brand new base model Chevy Colorado with the 2.5L 4, automatic tranny, and 4.10 rear. This was a fleet vehicle and part of my job entails picking up vehicles from the quarry where we store them, so I actually got to drive it instead of just moving it from the parking lot to the detail shop.

I must say that I was not impressed with a couple of things. For starters, the truck had a tilt steering column but no telescope function, and it was also hard to find a comfortable position with the 4-way power seat (yes, this base model Colorado with no keyless entry had a power seat). The brand new engine (with like 84 miles) was nowhere near as quiet as the 2.7L in my Taco (and my Taco has over 95,000 miles as of this posting).

The truck does look good in my opinion, and the overall build quality is decent. The A/C also worked really good.

However, if the seating position is as awful in other Colorados as it is in this one, I would definitely never buy one.

 

Was the seating too low? Too high?

 

With the lack of a telescoping wheel, it felt too far back.

 

Is "telescoping" up down, or front back?

 

Tilt is up/down

Telescoping is closer/away

 

How can it not have that?!?!?!

 

Because it's a $25,000 no frills Colorado...

 

Doesn't your Tacoma have a telescoping wheel?

 

Yes, but it's also a Toyota...

GM has been behind the times with the telescoping wheel since 2007...

 

Really? That's bad for them brah. Telescoping wheel is a basic feature in every car.
