It doesn't seem like the boot is torn, from what I can see the grease is leaking from the metal ban/seal.

Just tighten the clamp maybe? I don't see any evidence of damage to the boot or axle.

Looking to do a last minute setup change before a roadtrip, anyone have a line on basic bed bars? Especially if they fit over a tonneau cover like the voodoo/maxmod ones.

I didn't know you can tighten the clamp. I will look into that.

Some are adjustable and some aren't. Looking closer, it looks like yours aren't.

Mine had a torn boot and had been that way for awhile from the previous owner. Rebooting isn't for the faint of heart, and replacing the whole axle doesn't cost much more.

At Napa it should be like $70 for a reman, $100 for a new one. I know a guy that can put it in for like $90 if you want.

WAIT hang on @BOMBS, I just heard Cruiser Outfitters has aftermarket clamps that can probably fix that weep. Let me check with my brother-in-law who works there.

Ok @BOMBS here's the word - so Cruiser Outfitters stocks the ones for, well, Cruisers, which are too big for Tacomas but you can get a smaller one. What it is is a marine hose clamp with rolled / rounded edges so it doesn't cut the boot.

According to C.O. and confirmed by ih8mud threads, these are the ones the Cruiser guys swear by: https://www.mcmaster.com/catalog/125/333. They use part 5574K25, which is too big for a Taco - just put a string around yours to figure out the diameter and order the clamp in that size range, looks like 5574K23 according to this post.

They also said you can do it without having to take the CV or anything off the truck if you can carefully get a good pair of dikes in there to cut out the original clamp.

Just to be sure and we're both on the same page, the blue arrow in the the picture is pointing to the clamp that I need to replace because grease is leaking from there.

    Not much stock left.
I have the same size and I have like 3 or 4” of space. I’ll see if I can find my alignment info.

I didn’t do the CMC myself, so not much insight I can offer there. I just told them to take as much as possible.

Cool. I'd called Firestone in West Jordan and they said they are booked 2 weeks out and they are the only Firestone left in the Valley/Utah that remains open for business.
