    shortbed.

I think the only difference is the longbed version has a 1-2ft extra pipe extension, might be able to just get one made from American Exhaust co, having him do an exhaust re-route for me tomorrow I'll ask how much for that.

Will do I’ll take some pics.

Didn’t realize how vital reroute is until I dented that low hanging exhaust part on a rock a few weeks ago.

Went to replace that section of pipe figured I could just get a new “y pipe” for a couple hundred... turns out that low hanging part is part of the catalytic converter!! Only way to replace it OEM is to replace the $1,200 cat -_-

So gonna have him just section it out and reroute at the same time so it doesn’t happen again.

It’s such a glaring design flaw I can only guess that toyota did it on purpose. Lowest hanging part of the exhaust is the only part not replaceable, thanks toyota.

Forgot to take some pics yesterday but man it turned out FANTASTIC. He powder coated the piping, maybe not powder coated but somehow made it all BLACK, so you can't even tell anything was done it looks totally factory.

Was a little pricier than planned, $240 but its because he had to do some extra work on mine as I had dented the pipe on a rock on my last offroad trip. Once he dug into it we found out it had also slightly bent the pipe AHEAD of the cat, so the whole thing was out of alignment. So he had to completely cut out the cat and weld in his own adjustable flange pre-cat, THEN did the exhaust reroute behind the cat.

I was nervous about having my cat pipe hacked up even though it wouldn't effect it at all, just for resale purposes if the truck is ever inspected the mechanic would probably tell a potential buyer "caution he cut into the cat! might not pass smog" or something stupid. But with how the mod turned out I think most mechanics wouldn't even notice I did anything, its really hidden and looks stock.

I'd really recommend this guy for any exhaust work, I actually used his same shop way back in 2002 to do a custom exhaust on my turbo Supra. Cool coming back after all these years and he's still in business :)

Maybe I'll head that way sometime soon, I hit mine, hopefully lightly this winter. Might be in the same boat as you.

Did you notice a change in exhaust tone?? I was running a magnaflow so it was super obvious to me, on the way home from anza borrego I could hear a "fluttering" almost airplane like sound from my exhaust so I knew immediately something was wrong, thought it was a serious engine problem but when I crawled around underneath noticed the dent on the exhaust pipe, lucky for me was an easy $240 fix.

Now just gotta figure out what I did to my front end, hearing a click/clank at low speed maneuvers hoping I just tore my body mounts and not something more serious like the steering rack :/

Thanks for the update my dood. For diagnosing the body mounts, what are you looking at specifically? Will the mount just look smashed or worn? I have a similar sound and everything on my suspension is tight.

I didn't noticed a sound change, so hopefully that's a good thing. I found the dent but didn't even think to look to see if the straight section was bent. With how sensitive exhaust flow is to dents in the pipe i'm still surprised with how they come from the factory.

hoping your front end is a cheap fix too, musta been a nice hit.

I think I'm ordering the energy suspension bushings either way, just going to have them installed and see if it fixes it then go from there. Its an upgrade I was planning on doing anyways.

If that doesn't fix it I'm still under warranty so hoping toyota will just handle it, after all my truck's never even been offroad I swear :anonymous:

Hey guys have a few parts for sale off my 2019 TRD O/R. Thought I'd post them on the local thread before posting on the B/S/T forum.

FS: 4 OEM TRD O/R wheels with Ceramic 9H Coating to protect the finish. I had these on when I paid roughly $1400 to have my entire truck ceramic coated including the wheels. Wheels have about 4k miles on them and have no damages, scuffs, curb rash or scratches. Asking $450 obo for the set. Might be willing to ship at buyers expense.

FS: OEM TRD O/R skid plate. Removed at 4k miles with no damage, scuffs or scratches. Just needs a good whip down. Asking $90 obo.

Might have to give it a shot after I get my emissions done. I’ve got a pair of Downey long tubes that I’ve been itching to get on for a while now
