Well we are a week out from closing on this damn house and the appraiser messed his whole appraisal up. He valued it at $195k, purchase price is $200k but he only put 1747 SF instead of the actual 1808 SF. Upon further investigation, he just excluded the 61 SF from the stairs which all the comps in the neighborhood he used were the same layout yet he didn't short them their SF.... So at $110/SF he shorted the appraisal $6748.... The seller is now disputing this (which I don't blame them for) and we have to wait a few days to see what the deal is and if he will fix it.

 

Ahh, I wish real estate was that cheap here.

 

If I lived in the Bay Area I would be making around double what I make here so it evens out really
