I really like the Maxx’s too, my wallet liked the Pros better though.

Hmm. The pros are normally more expensive, not by much though.

Almost $50 difference between the two at Discount Tire in 285/70R17 right now. I was surprised too...

Rota wheels that @SearArtist suggested. And yes you are insane to get BFG Comp2 on that truck go with something H speed rated but a better All season tire with a higher load index for the truck you'll thank me later. Personally I would stick with a 15 or 16 and only got +1 or +2 in size of wheel and tire. That's just me though.

I think these would look good on a 1st gen in the criteria you are wanting.

My folks 1st gen 5 lug maroon like yours has American Racing wheels similar to this they look pretty good in an all silver finish

    Yes
The deletes screw with the post count yes, but when you ask a question and get a response, make sure you quote the answer to your question in a followup post otherwise when that user deletes their account, their answer to your question isnt deleted too. I had a face palm moment a while back because that happened to me. I looked back on an old thread to find the answer to a question I asked and the post had it looking like I was talking to myself. I should've quoted their answer so now I'll have to ask the same question again and hope I get a quality answer on the TW main pages. Ugh.

    Thanks!

My previous tire buying has been for a Miata & an xB2, both set up for mountain road driving.
    I’m not used to trucks.
Is the BF Goodrich Advantage t/a good?
I will drive it hard, which is the problem with the current Tiger Paw tires. (Yanked sawblades off right after bought truck)

    I don’t like the white walls ....
    Wanna trade?

I’m spinning the tires & breaking away the rear ... starting in SECOND gear.
