TW! Since there are so many wedge camper options out there I figured it's time we all start sharing out tips and tricks on how we camp and use our campers.

I love seeing how others find solutions to their problems, and turn their trucks and campers into a home away from home.

I'll be reserving a few more spots so we can compile info that helps everyone.

Please share your experience, solutions, and thoughts on being part of the wedge life!

Btw there are several reasons why I transitioned from an RTT to a wedge, but among my favorites are the speed to set up/clean up (10 seconds ea) and the ability to stand in the tent!

I’ll never go back to the RTT life

If my truck won't fit in the garage when I buy a house anyways, then it'll finally seal the deal on picking up a Drifter.

    Reppin' the GFC in Moab.

As said above, being able to stand inside is huge. Nothing worse than having to put your pants on in a tent while hungover.

Yes he was and it was his first trip with his RTT. Pretty much immediate buyers remorse. Haha.

Nothing against RTT's, but closing one in freezing slushy rain was the last straw for me.

You still like your bed setup? I'm going to tear mine out now that I have the GFC and build something along the lines of yours. Having a 6' long drawer pretty useless to me now.

Could you hinge the top cover, so you still have a 6' drawer, but you could access it from inside with the tailgate closed too?

Been there many times. Fingers too cold to work all the straps, zippers, velcro, etc. Wedge life is so much more convenient.

That's how I have the side behind the fridge set up. Holds my heater, skottle and a bunch of other stuff. I'm mainly looking to add the "Hallway" down the middle for firewood/ dirty stuff and have the bed side height drawers on the driver's side to sit on while in the truck bed.

After breaking the zipper to the CVT tent cover in freezing temps that was about it for me. Glad I made the decision months ago to go away from RTTs.
