Use whatever is printed on the oil cap. If the manual did specify a summer weight, then the weight stated in the manual and/or cap can be used year round.

I would also stay away from any 10W-40 dino oils. That weight is very old school and would not bode well in today's modern engines.

Amsoil has proven to be the best oil on the market based on the many tests it has been through and come out on top.

    I use Castrol.

If it's good enough for sea going mammals. It's good enough for me.

    Thanks BP.

    (No seriously, I use Castrol)

    Changing how often?

    >7000miles any Name brand synthetic

<7000miles and name brand Non-synth will do and do just as good of a job.

    Those are very conservative #s

Pick your filter wisely and change every 5000 miles

I hope you're kidding. Oil doesn't get just "dirty" it also carries chemicals that are a result of combustion. Sulfuric acid is just one compound that forms in oil. You don't get that out through a filter. I don't think anyone wants a concentrated amount of sulfuric acid in their engine.
