I believe there is a software update. So you will need more than the foam sealer?

It's like 12 pages. I think you could go to your dealer and get it easier. They're are multiple grills that you do differently.

They wouldn't for it. Grill change and lift leveling kit was the problem.

My dealer is an hour drive away and doesn't do appointments on weekends (the only time I can make it there). I would really appreciate if you could post the document on here

So. My dealer is close. If I were you guys I'd call and find out if the mods you have done are gonna be a problem before I go . And talk to the Service Manager. He's got the last call

The dealership service manager said the field rep has given permission to turn the system off. I'm all for that and of course it will be at our expense. I personally dont really care if it's done because it works fine. Think about all the dealerships that take in the on trade with different grills and lifts. They are not going to be able to sell a vehicle until the recall is corrected and or the new owner signs acknowledgement of it. I asked what about the trucks that are lifted and sold at your dealership, he advised me they send them out and that was total bullshit. They have a damn showroom full of parts to lift them and he said it falls on the company they send them out to get lifted for anything over 3 inches, again bullshit. So I asked about the 2/1 levelling kits or the Bilstein lifts they do. Um, no answer. I think Toyota will change the rules on this. Oh well it is what it is.

Thank you @Tacosrus it looks like they got mine pretty close to right, but not 100 percent. I may go see if I can make it look like the pictures in the document, or I may have to just buy the cushion and re do it myself.

Reading thru the instructions it looks like if your sensor is vented you don't need the foam sealant. My SR5 sensor was not vented so I put the sealant on like a regular grill has even though I have the Pro Grill.

Makes me think what they are doing at Roseville Toyota. They sell lifted and modded trucks. Wonder if they are turning people away too. And what about Trucks they have sold already.

Appt set for the last day of the month. They wouldn't budge on it being less than a half day job so I have to get it there by 1PM. Told them to check the shudder from the rear while braking while they have it as well.

I just spoke to my Toyota dealership and this recall only applies to non modified tacomas. Toyota will come out with a fix for modified supention lifts at a later date according my Toyota service dept adviser.
