    Mine have like 3 threads showing and I got 2.5” front. Pelfrey aluminum skids, lightbar in the grill, group 31 battery, sliders, Prinsu are the weight/accessories between the front and cab.

    How long you all recommend to wait for settling before making adjustments? I want to back off some of this preload, but I was advised to wait a bit first

    It took about 500 miles for mine to settle and it only dropped about 1/8” so not much at all. You do have heavier springs so not sure if those will hold the height better. To be honest I think you can lower the preload now and just account for a 1/4” drop the most. That way you can enjoy the ride a little more

    I say back it off right away!* No need to wait. Drive it around the block or whatever for the suspension to "settle " , then if you are happy with the height and comfort leave it alone, if not - readjust until satisfied with results. And take it for an alignment.





    * this is my opinion on that matter, of course you are under no obligation to actually listen to it.

    Are you guys removing the coilovers to make adjustments or doing it while they are still on the truck? I just installed mine on Sunday and I definitely need to make some adjustments soon.

    I did mine on a truck. I have 650 lb coils, and it wasn't too hard to adjust it. Only thing is it's rather a pita to adjust them with the wrench provided by King, It would be good to get one of those spanner wrenches that's curved at the end so it would fit deeper into the shock mount/ bucket. Or get a metal punch from a hardware store and cut the tip off so you can tap it with a hammer in tight spots

    I haven’t tried adjusting the ride height with the coilovers on the truck yet. The last two times I have, I removed them, took the load off via a wall mounted spring compressor and made my guesstimate adjustments.

    I haven’t really looked into adjusting them on the truck, so I’m also interested in the process. My best guess would be to get truck off the ground, loosen the lock ring, and adjust from there, but I’m just a FNG so I really couldn’t say. Looking forward to any feedback

    Awesome, thanks for the feedback. I have 650lb coils as well and I'm hoping I can adjust them without removing them. The tool King provided is kind of a joke. I have a spanner wrench from the lift I put on my FJ though so that might work if I'm lucky.

    You're all you have to do is lift the truck off the ground to relieve the pressure. The tool works, it's just getting it past to certain point in a shock bucket that blows. I'm not sure what which wrench do you have, there might not be enough space for proper wrench between shock collar and the mount/bucket

    Nice, that sounds pretty easy. The tool they sent me doesn't have the T handle, so I may need to use something else to help get leverage. This is what they sent me:
