Definitely. If I had the money, I'd go with the goose gear setup. But, I like to build stuff myself anyway.

id enjoy a wedge, mainly because i am not liking the brick on the roof since im in a van. But my biggest issue is battling my height overall for the hard shells. Or is that still considered an RTT

 

I'd say most are closer to a wedge than a tradition RTT by design. Except those hardsells that fold out.

 

Yea same. First time actually building cabinets of any sort, so it was a fun experience.

I actually have more available storage because of how organized everything is. I highly recommend an aisle down the middle because it helps getting in/out of the camper. Anything that will raise the floor like drawers will force you to bend your back more to get in/out.

 

Although someone else could have good reasons for arranging things differently, I agree. I spent lots of time fiddling with the ergonomics of entry and exit. My aisle is narrower than yours, but it’s the best option for me. Probably no coincidence the Goose Gear setup is much the same!

 

I blame @Overlanerd for my fascination with a wedge camper.
I watched him watch all us guys closing up RTTs while he was eating breakfast. By the time we were done, I saw him stand, close the wedge and start the truck. He was still chewing.

Correction: build a bigger garage

 

I just got 8 rock lights from Amazon for ~$50 for exterior camp lighting.
...I haven't installed them yet though, so can't speak to real-world camp use.
But testing them out in the garage at night makes me think they're going to be perfect.

 

He did! But thats more of a comparison thread between campers, a VS thread sort if speak. This is more of an inclusive thread to discuss the lifestyle of a wedge camper without make it about a “Us vs Them” mentality.

I am a huge fan of the Baja Designs Angle Flush Mount lights

 

You dont need much light in these campers because its a pretty small enclosed place. But those lights are a pretty penny. You can find way cheaper lights on Amazon that’ll do the same thing. Hell, my lighting was less than $10.
