hey everyone! I’m interested in lifting my truck 3 inches, not sure what to do as it is my first time doing a lift, I have a 2019 Tacoma sr5. I heard don’t get a suspension lift due to spacers, not sure though also don’t wanna spend a lot of money! Please help!

The first question to answer is, What are you lifting for? Looks or function

Spacers are fine if you don’t do off roading. I’m just against spending good money on a truck and cheaping out suspension parts. At the minimum I would do the Bilsteins 5100 an a Add a leaf. Also going over 2.5in will require aftermarket UCAs which aren’t cheap.

The questions and answers will follow soon!

Here are my questions to you Ray...

    1. Why do you want to lift?
-looks or off road performance or something else?
    2. Do you realize when you lift the expenses go up?
    3. SEE QUESTION 1

Thank you for this, also for everyone I’m looking to put 33s or close to 33! I heard spacers make the ride a little stiff is that true ? I wanted a suspension lift but then read bad reviews on spacers

This happens in EVERY single JEEP (where I am the most familiar) or other truck when it comes to lifting.

    Shit adds up.

    PERIOD DOT!

Trade offs have to happen so make one change, and make another.

Ok So it is for looks...you STILL haven't told us what you would like?

    1. Looking for height?
    2. Looking for WIDE tires?
    3. Looking for a more aggressive Stance?

Let us know what you are looking for.......put up a pic of what you want and, again, folks will chime in.

Not trying to thread jack but I had a 13 jk with a leveling kit 2”front 1” rear. Coil spring spacers and new sway bar links were all it was. With 33” tires it rode close to stock. It looked good but not extreme. Do they make anything similar for tacos.

Looking just for a little more height hence why I think the 3 inch is fine and not wide tires don’t want them sticking out to much from fender maybe an inch at most just depends

Thought I was done at 2400 on shocks and coil covers, then came the $600 UCAs then $159 brake line extensions then the $372 bumpstop flipkit then the $559 OME HD leaf pack. And let’s not forget the $80 for new UCA bolts washers and nuts.

Keep the lift 2.5” or under in the front and you’ll be alright

I would consider a 2.5, based on how it would look done up, I want something that when I see it I can tell it was lifted and feel like I didn’t waste my money

33’s will most likely require a CMC and some minor trimming.
