This. I'm no pro welder. I did mine my self the cuting the old offisthe hard part. I have offered to help others but they most assist in cutting and install. They never asked or mentioned it again. Lol
It is a pita for the most part, but the welding is the easiest part.if you prep it well.

This was about 60 shipped. A little pricey but worth the time savings in my opinion

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Where did you get these from? I have a tough time finding decent scrap for practice. I would gladly buy packs like this. This will help with different types of welds, settings on the welder and speed on the weld.

Curious if they really work as good as the hype about them.

Thanks Kevin. It is a short bed. For right now I won’t be adding an extension. I’m not really concerned with sagging, it’s pretty sturdy. It sits flush with the bedsides, so the weight is being distributed over the truck bed. shouldn’t need a beam. It would take an unrealistic amount of weight to deform the metal rack. Heres a picture with the wood and carpet down. F1AE7BFB-08EA-4379-AE64-901D47D48B33.jpg

Slowly making progress on the headache rack. Got everything welded, ground, polished, and wire wheeled. All that it needs now is lights cut out, and mesh welded in.

Turns out my Miller 211 needed a new liner. It just started laying down ugly beads intermittently. Changed the liner tested it out and back to normal.

About 8 to ten small rolls. I would think it should last longer than that. Maybe I sent contaminated wire through it. Sometimes the wire had been sitting in the machine for about 2-3 weeks.
