Ouch. You’re helping me decide against an ECGS diff though!

Yup, CYA first and hopefully they'll fix it. I've heard a lot of bad about them without doing any research into needing their products (other than the bushing itself).

If they want to play dumb, post the details up on the old social media and let the wolves take care of the rest.

In the end.. hopefully they'll take care of it as any other options mean a bunch more time and money out of your pocket.

Yeah not exactly sure what is going on, but they seemingly sent you a junk diff (other reasons than what happened today) and they should've been prepping a new one to send to you. And they told you to run this one until they fixed their last issue.

Imo... If i were in your shoes, I'd request the new replacement parts and have @thefatkid work his magic.

If they send you a pre assembled diff, I'd have @thefatkid take it apart and unfuck it up before you install it.

You'll be out of the vehicle for a little longer, but at least you won't worry 24/7 about it blowing up... Well worth the mental happiness.

Clearly with ECGS and assembled products, it's not if it'll blow up, it's when.

If they had awesome customer service or ethics, they'd overnight the parts to you and maybe even a little extra for a rental when your vehicle is down for another time due to their crappy product. But i wouldn't hold my breath for any of that.

    Gotcha.

Well at the end of the day.. id rather forgo the warranty and have them done right at this point. Or try to explain that you have someone that does quality work unlike they do.

That sucks, but... If you're in the business of shipping fragile stuff, you have to know that it usually gets bashed around. Especially when it's heavy. And it's your duty to package it to make sure it arrives the same way it left.

I thought Nitro was the shizzy dizzy for aftermarket Taco gears? Or am I confusing them with Yukon?

I propose all Coloradoans (and Colorado-wannabeinns), call sales @ ECGS and inquire about purchasing expensive driveline components... but then state that they are hearing of poor customer service after the sale... that they are all watching one particular Coloradoan get the run-around after the sale...

Then get some popcorn, sit back, and watch...

I hope you recorded the call... Colorado is a one party consent state so you can record a conversation you are in.

Not that it's foolproof... My recorded conversation of my Allstate agent saying they did tell me false info about my policy and sorry but I'd be the one to pay for it... Was brushed off by the state as if it was completely fabricated.
