I can only imagine that is an insane pain, I remember being 16 and my brother asked if I wanted to go look at one and thankfully I wasn't interested. I have giant hands so that would be a terror. Good thing I got a toyota pickup.

Yeah some stuff is a no brainer and works well. I wouldnt buy anything rebuilt through a parts store. Even the new stuff can be questionable. @what road's driveshaft comes to mind. Or the many distributor caps my 92 has had, oem finally fixed that one.

Most if not all NAPA stuff is sourced from who the OEM sources from (GM especially) or from a more reputable brand in the Alltrom group (like 555), so I try to go to them for things. Their Balkamp brand is mostly Stant, their belts are Gates, their Echlin is many OEM brands which is nice

I live right by a big napa warehouse. Its nice never having to wait on parts, and everything Ive bought there has a better feel to it then its autozone equivalent. All of their store brand stuff has the actual supplier stamped on the back, trico wipers, valvoline oil, wix filters, etc.. All at a much cheaper price.

Napa on one side of town, oreillys (shudder) on the other. Autozone in the next city over.

HiCAS, rear steering pressure actuator for the hydraulic rack in the back. The Z32 steering pump is actually two steering pumps in one body
