... we were keen to see what was at the end of Sheep Canyon, and so we pushed on. As it turns out, what's at the end of Sheep Canyon is a campground - and, at least on this day, a full one at that! Disappointed, we made our way through the small loop and noticed a white first gen Tacoma camped in the very last spot - as far from anyone else as possible. "Nice first gen," the owner said as we drove by. "Back at you." replied @mrs.turbodb as we started back down the way we'd come. It was 2:30pm and we were now unsure what we were going to do for our last night in Anza-Borrego. We stopped along the side of the road and started looking at our maps...

Little did we know what was about to happen. It's a small TacomaWorld, I tell you!

So it adds castor? I wash TC would just make a set of tubular lower control arms to match the uppers. The boxed design seems like overkill for stock length travel.

    EDIT: Ignore that previous comment.

    They are nice. Expensive though..

Yeah I got about 2° castor from them I'd say. Not bad.

Just not a market for it. 2nd gens only got them because the oem design was shit.

Original center caps need some work (i wanted the toyota emblem filled in black) so grabbed these off eBay.
Clips kind of suck but they snap into place with a little persuading.

If anyone is interested, they're here:
    https://www.ebay.com/itm/4wheel-cen...er-6-Lugs-15-and-16-Rim-4PC-ONLY/292502317865

EDIT: UPDATE: These ebay centerpieces match the duplicolor HyperSilver wheel paint perfectly. I used it to refinish the wheels. Slightly oxidized, I did a very light sanding then just started with light coats. Think I did 4 or 5 coats then a couple of clear. Happy with results.

Just ordered 5 of these after finding mostly good to better-than-average reviews. They're getting mounted on my freshly powder coated 1st Gen steelies. Both Walmart and Amazon have this price right now, but I'm concerned about what the date code may be on the sidewall. Hopefully they won't be too old.

Now to complete my front end work before chucking up this fresh set of rubber.

Installed an external cb speaker using a 4r tweeter. I think it works judging on I can hear a lot of noise when I turn the squelch down but it's about half as loud as the cb speaker is. Any ideas how to make it louder? I used a TS plug and wire from a microphone that came with a head unit. Just clipped off the mic and soldered the ends to the tweeter. Will a heavier guage wire help?
