Can I ask why you left your reflector bowls and other parts chrome when you did your retros?

 

Installed a Bestop
Absolute PITA the frame.and hoops were easy but the top must have shrunk up.to.1 1/2 inches in.a couple of places. I.will give it a week.or 2 and if it doesnt stretch it's going back. But it looks good

 

I specifically prefer the OEM look. I had heavily considered painting the bowls black or maybe even the shrouds light gray or gunmetal but I really dislike a lot of the super “busy” retrofits. I’m super picky and particular on everything I do to the truck. To me, theall chrome inside looks like an OEM option from Toyota.

 

That makes sense. I was going to do a white and black theme but after seeing the BHLM I choose to do all black with a white shroud to hide the halos.

 

Oh and also today I moved my truck out of the garage so I could detail a friends Ford. Parked next to my Palo verde... the pollen

 

Looks super clean on your truck, nice work! Also, not painting anything got my retrofit done super quickly so that was nice too

Spring detail is almost done, just gotta do under the hood now.

 

Thanks! I painted everything minus the shroud while I waited for the parts, although being my first pair it took me maybe 2 days to put them together? I'm building another set to sell soon. Building them is actually pretty fun

 

Did a ton of stereo work on my truck, pics and post to come. My buddy pulled his taco in my garage too and I helped him on-and-off installing BAMF bolt on sliders. We found that ratchet strapping from the seat bracket over the door and hooking to the outer rails of the sliders was amazing for install. Just swing them up to the frame and put a single clamp on to hold in place while you have all the room under there to move around and put bolts in. Way easier then trying to prop them up from below.

 

You just added another thing to my list of things I must add to my rig that I didn't know before cruising TW.

Took me 4 days haha but it’s mounted. Also installed the squadron sports.

Just replace the relays with better ones. Their mounting pin layout is standard.

 

Throw it away and move on. Its just a letter saying that even if you wanted to sue them that you couldn't and wont win anything.
