Very cool post really help a bunch. I have a 17 TRD Pro now and in the market for a forest river NO BO 19.5. I'll be a first time RV user. Excited and nervous at the same time and your post was very awesome to read.

I do have a question, is there any option of getting a weight distribution/sway control system with no need to drill into the frame? Only asking as I may or may not upsize to a Tundra. I just dont want to drill into the frame and have to redo the holes if I do end up sizing up.

Again sweet post! Really enjoyed reading.

Drilling into the frame of the camper for that particular system. There is no drilling into the truck, just the big ass hitch.

Buy a system that is bigger than your needs. The 10000 straightline worked in 3 different campers so far, a hybrid, a large travel trailer and now the small one.

Thought I might share a link for some work Im doing on our 4Runner, specifically because Ill being using a neat little amp/DSP I found recently that Pioneer has made. Might be of some interest to you if you ever decide you want to go 3-way up front and add a 3.5" to those Morels. I'll be running it on the 4runner with just some JL C2-690tx comps and likely some ID XS28 tweets, but it'll allow for a bandpass channel in network mode. If I like it on the 4runner I might pick one up for the Tacoma.

Had my 30k service done on Friday. Dropped the truck off, walked across the road to the Mexican joint. walked back, truck not ready yet. Hung out, walked around. Saw my truck was ready and hit up service guy. Goes over everything done and says - "So who did your lift?". I responded "Does it matter for recall work?" "No, but our tech found this":

    missing nut.jpg

Yikes! When we installed the lift on 6/21/2018, we torqued everything to spec values as called out in the service manual. The truck also had visits to Toyota on 8/30, 11/16 and 2/15, with no issues. Curious. Anyway, they went around and re-torqued before releasing it to me.

Guess I should pay closer attention, because that could have been seriously fucking bad. Anyway, me and the service guy spoke at length about mods, etc. and the recall item on the TSS sensor was completed without a waiver to sign etc because of the lift.

Well, I know I said at 36k miles I was going to put on/switch to a GTS/Dobinsons suspension, but I think I'm going to bump that up to 45k miles. I like how I'm sitting, how I'm driving, etc.

The stereo continues to function extremely well. Like mind numbingly well.

I've been running without the OEM bed cover for a while now, and think I might like to sell it, honestly. But I think the minute I do, I'm going to regret it.

So right now, I'm not doing much of anything to the truck other than driving it and having fun. Besides that, money is being taken up on other hobbies such as firearms stuff, my new found enjoyment of high end rum, scotch and bourbon.

Towed the camper back up to the camp yesterday. Towed just fine, though I'm glad we don't trailer everywhere, especially in the mountains....

    Still no squat.

Well, I didn't realize that the TSB/recall for the front sensor included an ECU re-flash. I was wondering why my gears were all wonky again, so I flashed up to the 93 flash LOL (I was on 91 but running 93 fuel).....

Added a future copilot. Logan is a puppy mill rescue from the Bradford, NH puppy mill bust. He's getting better every day, but has a long way to go.

Not much really going on with the truck right now. Still going back and forth with myself in regards to doing the Dobinsons suspension, but I just bough a new phone, so that might be out of the question for a while. Am going to re-locate the usb-c power/head unit connection to down by the wireless power charger. The new phone is a bit bigger, and I think it might interrupt my sight line more than I would like. I'll wait and see.

Son is building his Eagle Project this weekend with the troop....

So I got a new phone. I bought a OnePlus 7 Pro, and the thing is amaizballs. However, it is all glass. Why does this matter? Because if I put a metal piece in the protective case, it's gonna scratch the phone to shit, and I don't want that.

    At all.

So the little Etsy holder is coming out. I have ordered the following to secure my phone in a good sight line: Mob Armor Mount Marball (Large)

Thinking of a new and interesting way to route charging cord other than from the vent.

Ahh thank you for the front dash cam! I have one, but haven't installed yet. I was considering outdoor mounting tape, but that plastic jb weld seems link a much better option. Was there any problem with the camera being upside down? Did it show you the front view automatically when at 1-2 mph, or was there a setting?
