Ok, I understand that it is nice to have, however, it is not a necessary feature. You are literally admitting that a computer is smarter than you.

I’ll admit it. Computers can be more intelligent than the majority of us.
We complain about computers being slow... but they spend more time waiting on us, than we do on them.

Sorry bud, did not mean to come across that way. I get it, I tried the crawl control out and it works just fine. I just thought that everyone liked to do it themselves. No disrespect meant.

Luckily you are not forced to use it. It's just another tool in the tool box. Just like the locker.

For the price of a TRD Pro (est $52,000), I could buy my truck all over again, and buy a new SR5 for $29,000.

Your not buying any new 4 runner and any new Tacoma for the price of one trdpro around here. 4runners start at $35500. 4wd Sr's start at $28500. Pro's start at $45000.

Contemplated buying TRD Pro or TRD OR but bought a TRD Sport with intention of adding lift kit and eventually ARB lockers. Very happy with the Fox ultimate lift kit. Big difference compared to OEM. Rides smooth and very capable offroad. Good luck with the Mod itch!! I've been scratching nonstop since I bought the truck. :annoyed:

2018 SR 4x4 Born Mexico 5/18, Every recall in the book! OTD with GAP $29,844!

Hate chrome so I bought the SR for matching everything and had dealer add the black lettering on the tail gate!

Dont regret anything! My SR will be 10x's the offroad machine then a TRD PRO with only $37k into it, thats RIGHT ONLY $37k TOTAL LOADED OUT TO OFF ROAD TO HELL AND BACK!

King 2.5's all the way around, TC UCA's, ICON RXT's in rear, Durobumps, ARB Twin on board, ARB rear Locker ( installed soon), FULL RCI Skids, Avis offroad sliders, 32" Falkens with 16x8 TRD spec rims..... and lots of other shit! And again Im only around $36,600 as we speak. With a locker I can activate anytime vs. just in 4lo. Suspension 10x's better then any suspension toyota offers that you'll just take off anyway!

Hell PRO's start out at $42k...lmao!

Didnt need the new 8.75 diff as the 8" been doing it for years, dont want the stock locker....a joke, and didnt need suspension, rims, tires, grill, bumpers that I was just going to take off anyway. Money down the drain if you actually wheel your taco! Just my 2 cents!

No regrets at all here! I did like the CC, dash, sunroof and radio, besides that my SR thats had EVERY single recall there is.....and I'd still take Gloria over an OR or PRO. All my friends have OR's and PRO's, I am the only one out of many who doesnt own one....I go where they go and usually with less damage....hehehe....ITS ALL ABOUT THE LINES, and the driver....

In the end like most Tacoma owners, I just love the truck...regardless of the model designation! Welcome to the Family!

Get that wallet out buddy, Its a long....EXPENSIVE ride! Hahaha....how far down the rabbit hole do you want to go!

I ordered a DCLB SR5 in Cav blue 5 weeks ago for 34.5k I went to the dealer today to check in and walked out with a DCLB TRD OR in Magnetic grey for 35.9k I figure the locker and suspension to upgrade (which I would have) was well worth it. I am super happy with my purchase.

Unless you can apply independent, modulated throttle, and consistent indexed braking to each of your four wheels independently, at the same time, you are not able to simulate Crawl Control with driving skill, so get outta dodge.

In CC mode, the brakes and throttle are applied simultaneously, as the vehicle is indexed forward in short bursts of movement (hence the weird noises). One wheel recieves throttle, while the other has the brake applied. You can’t do this with feet.

So yeah, the computer is smarter.

Do this vvvv with your driving skillz.....nuff said:

Eh, the thing I kinda wish my SR5 had that the TRD would have... is the smart key.

My previous vehicle had a smart key, and I fucking loved it. Most of the other features just wouldn't have been that useful to me.

(I paid $34.5k for my SR5 4x4... it came with sliders, tint and the bed LEDs)

It’s part of the Tech package... Dealers just don’t seem to order them that way... it is either barebones or Tech & Premium (add Leather/Sunroof, etc.). But they usually save that for OR/Sport orders.

I have to say I just picked up my 19 SR just last week. I'm very happy with it. I was especially surprised with what it came with: 4x4 V6, DCSB. Ok so no locker. But, you don't need a locker when you have a winch!! I just need to fab a winch mount now. Crawl mode=foot on skinny pedal. Stock 245-75R16 are actually 30.5" tall so not bad out of the box!! Plus steelie rims are better for offroad. 3 decades of wheeling jeeps had proved this out.

And... Sticker was 33.5, I squeezed them down to 29.6. I really like the truck so far.

Yeah, but the Sentra doesn’t weigh 9700lbs like that Land Cruiser.
