I know your pain. Its fun when its just some side project but annoying as fuck when its a dd or something you use often

Well my loaner is a silver 2018 Tacoma. I forgot how awful the stock tune is.

Yet the tune in the '18 was better than what we got in the '17....but is still pretty bad....

I pressed the gas to go and was like um.. when do we go?

I probably should have flashed back to stock before I went in. Hopefully that's not an issue. I know they can't see the tune, but might suspect given the tip in.

It makes a huge difference! And you don't necessarily have to spend hundreds of dollars on the OEM Toyota Pro grill. I found mine on eBay.

Same here. Actually my girlfriend bought the one I gave her the link to for my birthday. My dad wants one now for his Tacoma, but he's thinking about trading for a newer one. He's on a lease and thinks the equity might be worth rolling to a newer one instead of buying the current one like he planned. So now I'm not sure if i get him the pro grill or not.

Is he looking at potentially getting the 2020 Tacoma? They are getting some very much-needed updates!

I don't know for certain. Possibly 2019 because the updates are probably beyond him anyway. He is turning 70 in a month.

They replaced my moms 02 Camry about 3 years ago with a 2016 Tacoma. Then his 2001 Tundra suffered catastrophic frame failure due to rust. He was given an all clear during the recall period so he got screwed. Same dealership felt bad and gave him way more trade in than they should have on his lease. So basically got into 2 new Tacoma's in a short period of time and it was unplanned. Now he's thinking my mom doesn't really need one and can go to a small SUV and maybe he trades his in on a newer Tacoma. I have no idea. Crazy old people.

Well, he probably won't care for Apple CarPlay and such, but he might like the power adjustable seats that the 2020 model is getting. I know I would personally love those! However, I'm fine with what I've got for now.

Same here. The Android Auto is all that I feel I would want. Just to be able to use better nav maps really. And the bigger screen. Power seats are whatever to me. I hear adaptive cruise is nice.

I've got the adaptive cruise on my 2018. That's the year when Toyota made it standard on all cars, except for the 4Runner lol.

But I honestly don't use it that much because my transmission goes wild on cruise control. It'll get stuck in 4th gear for miles and/or shift sporadically so I just don't use it.

I've got it on the 2018 loaner today, but don't even want to bother figuring it out.

I just heard that my truck is done.

Were you getting the TRD wheels mounted? I think I recall you bought some grey ones, right?
