    Hey,

I recently put adjustable 2.5 King coilovers with reservoir up front, stock UCA, no plan on replacing them.

Install shop didn't lift my front end up at all saying I need to keep some rake on the truck. Once I lift the rear then I can lift the front. (up to 2" with stock UCA)

All I want to do is lift the front up by 1" but I don't want to spend a ton in raising the back.

Should I add a leaf? should I get a whole new leaf pack? blocks? new struts? Whats the best option for what I want to do on a budget.

Truck is a 2017 tacoma short box off road double cab

Need to keep some rake? So they've either never heard of, or can't comprehend what a "Leveling Lift kit" is, that are sold by the thousands

Take the truck back to them. Tell them you asked for it to be lifted 1" in the front, and in the front only. Lift the front like I asked or uninstall the components and you'll take it to someone else.
You can easily do it yourself with a spanner wrench, but that's besides the point.

If you got kings up front for the nice ride, wouldn't you want the rear to match? Even if you don't change the height at all, you'd greatly benefit from some rear king shocks as well.

Well I tow a small trailer so they didnt want it to have crazy rear end sag compared to the height of the front while towing...they want me to get some rear kings but I dont have the funds. Was going to put air bags in the rear to help with the towing sag.

Id I add a leaf how much rear end lift will I see? half an inch?

Id lift the front up two and do a 2" AAl in the rear pretty cheap to do. That should still give you a close to a .5" rake in the back so when you use your trailer it would look level.
    PS: Just my .02 cents

How much are you towing and what’s the tongue weight? Air bags are a nice solution for that.

its a small utility trailer, around 4000lbs loaded. I also use a weight distribution hitch to offset the weight.

I think airbags are a good option, if your bed is empty otherwise. Of course I would say do dakars first with new rear shocks, and add airbags if you still need them. But I understand that’s a lot of money. If you did only airbags you’d be alright.
